Can we talk about how unlikeable this bitch is? Or this shitty comic in general?

Can we talk about how unlikeable this bitch is? Or this shitty comic in general?

it's like an eternal train wreck that I can't look away from, somebody help me

I stopped reading a while ago, around the time that Mike told her that they were never going to be a thing and some 'bad boy' character started talking to her.
I think it started turning silly that one time they were trapped in an alley way by some older bullies or something.
It's alright if you just understand that teenagers are dramatic because they're stupid, emotional teenagers, but eh, there's better.

Its like VG Cats but somehow worse.

That's the thing, why do I want to read a story about stupid emotional teenagers being stupid and emotional, and nothing else? The only people who relate to such a thing are stupid emotional teenagers themselves.

Well that's why most people grow out of it.

Holy shit I had to read this comic for a college class it was a train wreck the normies couldn't figure out how to read panels, half of them read the book backwards the other half read all over the place and the comic was cringey tbh, but my liberal teacher has such a hard on for it he has merchandise in his office.

Except the author, apparently.

And except this college professor, too. Should have written an essay explaining how shit it is and read it to the whole class in front of the faggot.

I didn't write a paper on that but I did write a paper on why MLP is nazi propaganda… I made an A on that.

I'm sickened but curious, what is this?

You see user this is called bittersweet candy bowl a webcomic by veronica vera, a feminist (though she doesn't talk about it much) who draws animals because she thinks she is shit at drawing people. as for the comic itself as others have pointed out it is a highschool drama about asshole teenagers being assholes to eachother, it also hits the standard webcomic cliches of making the occasional video game reference because you cant have a webcomic without video games.

oh i see
any loss moments?

Loss Moments?

I think he means any moment that's so bad it deserves to be made fun of for years.

...

Speaking of which, even when I was 11 I thought this part was dumb.

I'm the college user I only read as much as the teacher made us but there was nothing CTRL+ALT+DEL tiers of bad in the part I read. Now Veronica Vera's personal blog comic on the other hand. It's been a year since I read it but I remember she consistently talks about some mental disorder she had, I get that sometimes you need to bitch about your condition in life but it got kind of special snowflakey.

That was so poorly-everything I assumed it was a dream sequence and didn't consider otherwise until the last page.

A loss moment involves a webcomic author trying to break new ground in their comic, and does so by means of a hilariously out of place and contrived occurrence. Such a move happens because the author lacks tact and critical self awareness. The predictable criticism from the fanbase regarding the clusterfuck they just created is met with "you trolls don't understand!" and mass forum bans. Holla Forums has a grand time during such events, and turns them into holidays.

CAD's "Loss" comic is the standard by which others are judged.
Dominic Deegan's "I raped her to save her life" is also a good example.
Tom Preston doesn't have a single defining event. Instead he has a lifestyle of failure.

Didn't Shredded Moose basically end on a loss moment?

Clears everything up so nope. thanks.

I still read it, OP, but it's not something I really look forward to reading. I just catch up after a year or more of not reading because I remember it out of the blue. I thought it was dumb how they make the Tails ripoff bisexual just because he likes to tease Mike.

What was Better Days' loss moment?
The incest? The Oh Balls? The gangsta nigga hyenas? Or was it one long loss moment?
Did Megatokyo have a loss moment? I think it kind of happened outside the comic when Carston got backstabbed.
Jack pretty much started with a loss moment and never stopped, lol.

We should have a loss moment thread.

Was this thing supposed to be VGCats fanfic?

wasn't this that comic about them fucking without a condom or something and almost getting pregnant

It did. A classmate once gifted me Megatokyo's physical version (I assume it was stolen, so worry not), and there was this episode that really stood out because it had absolutely no jokes in it. It was a strip in which Fred appeared all depressed out of nowhere, and when he was about to grab the metro, he noticed a girl was missing her ticket or something like that, and gave his to her, then he walked away.

He commented people gave him flak for it because the strip was not funny. It's funny because EVERYTHING about applies, specially the "you trolls don't understand!" part.

What? Why? Is it in manga format? And what does
mean?

So, essentially a Loss Moment is a badly misjudged Cerebus Syndrome, that doesn't work?

Like greentext related?

It isn't a manga they couldn't comprehend how a comic book flowed they had never read one before and confusedly bounced between different panels and word bubbles. They never learned how it works until I taught them after the project, so they never finished the comic.

Left to right, top to bottom? Like normal text? I admit, I don't really take much notice of how speech bubbles are usually constructed, but that's how it usually goes, right?
Anyway, you should still be able to piece together how to read a page from what makes most sense. Was this a special needs school? No offence to you.
I'm guessing they didn't actually try.

I didn't know they have special needs colleges. No it was a community college in an MOWR program which allows high school students to take college classes. I should have said that not everyone had problems, but nearly half the class had problems.

Damn, why aren't Holla Forums getting behind pones more?

Enjoy fam here's where I got the paper idea.

You w0t m8?

Didn't write it, just saved it.

Thanks m8.

Whenever someone reminds me of this I remember faggplier's little unsuccessful brother is still making a furry comic over 10 years. How long has this trainwreck been going on?

I've actually heard about this from another comic blogger (though I can't remember which one, probably Lew Stringer), who said modern kids literally don't know how to read a comic, to the point where a (very shitty) BBC tie-in Robin Hood one had numbers on the panels, and giant arrows pointing the way. I presume most of us were kids in the 90's, or even 80's, so we still came up with reasonably ubiquitous (and affordable! In Britain they're a middle class luxury these days) comics. Archie for the US, The Beano / STC for the UK and Captain Maple or whatever the fuck for Canada, so we just "know" how to read a comic, but kids / teens starting later in life could have difficulties. Retarded difficulties, but still…

Why are you reading Melodrama: the furry-ing?

Holy shit, is this still going on?
I don't remember the art being that unappealing. What's up with these proportions?

This comic gave me my beat-up-the-asshole-girl-and-rape fetish

Suffice to say, its gotten pretty silly since, but for the quick melodramatic sting it itches from time to time. I can see why the fanbase is obsessed.

Regression; the art of being too lazy to draw consistent art

Veronica had another art change a few years ago and it was for the worse.

No, Cerebus always changed gradually, and it always lasted, s loss moment is an abrupt attempt at depth that fails from conception.

Thats an actual fucking webcomic page? I've seen better shit on /fur/ done in 5 minutes.

Also: Fuck webcomics, and fuck everyone still posting and thus advertising them.

After OPs, VG Cats and Gamercats I'll simply make a VG Dogs webcomic and everyone will shit bricks because ORIGINUL!

Jesus, they're even the same colours as VGCats. The author could at least have drawn them in a different proportion or mixed up the colours a bit. This is literally emo VG Cats.

The "plot" of this comic constantly feels like a mobius strip with no resolution.

How many times has this bitch rebounded onto Orange, now?

It's almost like the comic is pointless repetitive drivel meant to appeal to faggot teenagers who ship people obsessively and like pointless drama. You know the minute the two protagonists actually get together people will stop reading, so if you want to coast off of your free money printing comic for years you have to keep them in a constant state of 'maybe soon'.

FURABOO FURABOO

I stopped reading around when Lucy's violent acts went from comedy to real. then I checked the threads for porn until the drama and circlejerking got to be too much

Because, as retards never seem to understand, it's not just about themes, it's about identity. Having the most traditionalist and aristocratic story in the world does nothing if women are the heroes in it. Women are not, have never been, and will never will be heroes; they inherently do not possess the appropriate qualities, and it is insulting to heroic men to have them portrayed as such.

The ideal women have to live up to is being a living embodiment of feminine virtue, i.e. being a loving daughter, faithful wife, and devoted mother. In that respect, the bar is set so low for them that it boggles the male mind as to why there are so few women who can actually achieve this ideal, especially compared to the number of masculine heroes that have appeared throughout the ages, yet I guess that just speaks to their unbelievable incompetence.

Women are a dark and chaotic influence. They compliment the masculine light and order by forcing men to overcome them despite their nature. Mythology was the wise precursor to neuroscience.

Mike and Lucy have some serious codependence issues. It was physically painful reading Mike go on a date with Sally and try to apologize and censor everything about himself. Then you have Lucy who takes everything Mike says at face value and nearly kills herself because of it. I'd say they're perfect for each other.

>>>/pone/

Get out of here, Dave Sim.

rainbowdashbestponyFIGHTMECUNT

>>>/pone/

...

The fuck is that last one?

Lucy tried to commit suicide after Mike called her out for being an unlikeable neurotic bitch.

She would have likely succeeded if she didn't land on her fucking knees, yet somehow a few pages later she's bleeding out from her torso.

Looking back on these pages reminds me just how ridiculous this entire comic is.

I don't have fight experience.

Who'd win in a fight. 4 average 13 year old.
Or two 26 year olds

What a shame.

two 26 year olds. 13 year olds are weak and undeveloped; they wouldn't stand a chance.

the 26 year olds man
I didn't have near the muscle I had when I was 13 that I did at 18

What is happening here. I'm trying to read it but I can't grasp it. Why does the black cat respond when the other one is talking to Lucy? How does the writer think physics work? Why is it so hard to tell who is talking at any given time?

This whole comic is a cry for help.

Kinda reminds me of goblins in that way.

IT HURTS
IT HURTS LIKE A SICKNESS

i'm reading it.
i'm on chapter 18.

please tell me this becomes tolerable. Lucy is a douche and I hate tsundere characters. especially ones who act like douches for no reason

Sorry but it gets worse.

I actually have that experience. Back when I was a teen, we ganged up against our karate instructor with a few other students. He fucking destroyed us.

How old was she when she made this? If she was young, I could excuse the early chapters. After all, writing a webcomic takes time and effort. But if she's like older than that…

the only way I could see the 13 year olds winning, by brute physical force, is if they were those kinds of teenagers who had abnormal growth spurts and had the hulking bodies of trained soldiers by pure luck of nature.

The adults. Unless they were total invalids or something, the teens wouldn't stand a chance.

...

Almost makes me want to pick up the comic again.

damn straight

That double "I'm sad" gets me every time

The impression I get from these pictures is that if the comic was a general slice-of-life goofing-around comic about cutesy furries, it'd be okay.

The inconsistent clothes-wearing kinda pisses me off though.

Instead we get a lot of forced drama, miscommunication and love-hate relationships.

The first part especially makes me feel like she watched a few shoujo anime and tried to emulate it but just failed on every level

What the fuck? Are colleges really that fucking retarded nowadays they force you to read shitty webcomics?

I don't know what this shit comic is but this Mike guy sounds like a real cuck.

...

...

Is that chick supposed to look underaged for him? Because she does.

I think the artist is just very inconsistent with proportions.

They are inconsistent with fucking everything. For a comic that has 70 quardillion pages, their art sure sucks in just about every imaginable way except maybe a mild cuteness factor if you can push aside your cringe for long enough.

I';m on chapter 34…
why am i doing this to myself?

...

this is like if shmorky and scott ramsoomair had an holy lovechild and it made a comic.

*unholy.

fucking autocorrect.

>Inconsistent, lazy artwork that makes mine look acceptable by comparison
I've had my doubts about being a webcomic artist, but if this is what it takes to get a sizeable following, then i'd be well fucking qualified to do a much better job. and with less moneywhoring too, at that.

Shmorky is still occasionally funny, when he's not just being a sad girl in snow, and I guess Ramsoomair is too, but less often.
This shit is just fanfic-tier. I think the porn of VGcats with its own site, what was it called? Orangebox? actually had more better writing than this.

I'd like to see you try. I don't think you can do it.

You're forgetting the key element of popularity on the internet: furry

Doing a webcomic requires a crazy amount of dedication. You have to be some form of autistic, extremely attention deprived, or love it so much that you can't stop (i.e. if you aren't unless you're doing it already).

This thread screams hateboner for this comic. I bet you guys jack off to every update.

So is this basically a reverse version of those "healing" animus, except that the defects stay the same

This needs hard cub fucking buuuut its so tryhard making the readers horny that its boring.

Doesn't stop people from drawing it

~I'm guessing they're both meant to be kids.

but honestly, i've been reading this. holy crap everyone's a douchebag for no reason, and Mike is the worst MC ever. The tonal shift from the first chapter to chapter 50 is just insane.

feels like the author wanted to write a shoujo manga, realised that it wasn't that good of an idea, so changed everything last second to a terrible US teen sitcom.

Is it this one or is something else and if it is something else, link?

When did that happen?

If I recall correctly he's referring to Two Kinds. You can Google it yourself.

I think that's the time where she jumped off a building
I remember reading this comic when it was just pencil drawings and I thought it was okay until the drama shit kept repeating itself.

Holy shit

Sounds fun. I'm gonna give it a try.

that's hot.

magic bandages….i love it. had me laughing my ass off. Also if the creator doesn't go ahead and let them fuck i am gonna be mighty pissed.

Would have been better if he'd tried the sash to hide his junk and learned they connect to the same pocket dimension that way.

...

I thought Markplier was the younger of the two?

Honestly I found anything with Mike in to be extremely painful.
Making Paulo the main focus of this was a good move.

Yeah I found out theyaren't kids. They're just poorly drawn

...

Actually this guy has gotten worse with proportions. I noticed the dog character and remembered a scene where they were on an airplane and singing bicycle race. I also remember they were shaped like normal adults.

...

I tried reading this but goddamn, this shit is so boring and repetetive. I skipped something like 20 chapters and it was still the same characters whining about the same relationship drama with the same other characters. Does anything ever fucking happen in this comic other than dumb teenagers going through dumb relationship drama? Because that shit was already cringeworthy enough when I was a teenager, I don't need to relive that phase through a furry webcomic.

At least the art is kinda cute I guess.

Holy shit, I liked it before it went full retard with the drama but it's now somehow even worse? And people still read it?

Well, you have teens acting like douche bags to each other

Why is he completely naked and every other character is show wearing at least one article of clothing?
Is this ever addressed in the work itself? Is he some kind of nudist?

...

What the hell are those things, miniature Yoshis? And what's this about child support, aren't they supposed to be high-schoolers? I'm not sure if that kind of thing applies when you're still a minor.
What's posted here are the only pages of this comic I've seen, and almost every single one makes no sense. Do I need to read the whole thing from the start just to be able to pick up the context necessary to understand what's going on in any single given page?

Plot twist - tsunderes are awful, unlikeable people. Who knew?

At least you had a love life as a teenager user…

Loneliness numbs your heart, but teenage love just kills part of it. The girls are fickle and arbitrary, they're driven by hormones and will go after and then leave you for absolutely no reason, over and over again. I mean literally no reason, it doesn't matter what you do, you can't trust them for shit and you'll stop being able to trust anyone else after that. And you're constantly surrounded by manwhore Chads trying to fuck everyone you're even remotely interested in.

so romanticizing teenage love is purely fantasy and all it ever came down to is hormones driving the opposite sexes to have sex with vague feelings of attachment to each other in the background?

Pretty much.

I think the main problem is that teenagers just don't have a proper understanding of what it means to be in a long term relationship, instead they only have some vague, over-romanticized idea of "tru luv" they got from YA novels and Disney movies. That coupled with the hormon-driven horniness at that age and the tendency to overdramatize everything leads to the dumbest relationships for the dumbest reasons and even dumber break-up drama. I guess it gets a little better for some people in their late teens when they actually start understanding that real life doesn't work like fucking Twilight but for the most time, teenage love is a pure cringefest. Why do you think so few people manage to stay together with their High School sweethearts?

I actually have to give this webcomic credit because it does a fairly good job at portraying the retardation of teenage relationship drama. I just don't get why ANYONE who isn't a dumb teenager themselves would enjoy reading about that shit but maybe it's some kind of escapist fantasy for people who never got to be part of that drama.

My parents used to tell me all the time that having relationships when you're younger isn't really worth it, and discouraged me from actively searching one out.

Honestly I don't blame them now,and see what they mean now that i'm older. For the reasons the user above said, and that they just very rarely last. Like a lot of school friendships, they fizzle out quickly. I've only got like 2 friends from my school life, and out of everyone i know, only one couple have been together since they were 12.

...

Ew

...

Still better than any of the "canon" pairings tbqh

Daisy pairings are best anyway.

canon pairings are awful cause the writer just can't write people being happy for longer than a few chapters. These pairings aren't even that good (except for daisy ones)

To be fair, Daisy and Molly are the best 2 characters in general.

...

...

she made that bed, now she can lie in it

Reminder that the creator's boyfriend is an SJW shilling cuck who wants more Musilms to destroy Britain

I read it last year while trawling the archives with a friend, and I can safely say it was the moment where Frisk, who is at this point a war veteran, goes to visit his friend who was wounded in action and is now confined to a wheelchair because both his legs are paralyzed. Frisk's friend informs Frisk he has been sleeping poorly (upwards of 12 hours at a time) lately before begging Frisk to go to his bedside drawer, get a gun, and allow him to shoot himself.

Frisk shouts "no!" tearfully before running out of the house, leaving his friend on the floor where he had been begging, and collapses on the front lawn crying.

Then the chapter ends. You never see Frisk's friend again. He is never mentioned again.

What is this comic about again?

Emo VGCats fanfic, apparently.

that picture makes it look like Lucy is sucking that teddy bear's dick.

Like honestly, I can't think of anyone in the main cast I like, APART from Daisy, because they're all so unbearable

I don't remember Molly being unbearable but maybe I cut her more slack since she was younger than the rest.

you should post that as a comment on the comic page

...
