A weedlmao bro says: "we should get money out of politics"

am I wrong?

Yes.

What does that even mean in this context?

pretty sure "opening the mind" would result in nihilism, not eliminate nihilism.

Yes. It looks like he was just making a very popular, common sense criticism of how mainstream politics are run and you had to do what every punchable, cringe-worthy, lvl. 1 leftist douche simply *has* to do, which is to apprehend them for not being radical enough.

The reason normal people refuse to give leftists even a minute of their attention is because, whenever they discuss politics with one of us, they can't even complain about a particular law or policy without some idiot suggesting that in order to do that we need to abolish technology, replace money with sticks and live in collective-owned farms where everyone will be given a goat when they're 8 and labour divisions will mirror those of an ant nest.

This is why people assume we don't live in reality, and why they don't even care about the "left-wing perspective" on most issues: because they already expect us to be doing nothing except crossing our arms with an eyebrow raised and a sarcastic smile on our faces, scoffing at their attempts of improving society while we cleverly wait for "the revolution" or until the masses "wake up" and create the perfect society we thought about in the vaguest terms possible.

So seriously fuck off with this and keep your mouth shut until you know enough theory to INFORM their concerns with an intelligent, well-informed, well-researched, dialectical anti-capitalistc perspective, instead of unloading your ideal Paradox Game society shit.

wew, lad! is's everyone going to barter with handjobs?

11/10

can't get money out of any competitive endeavor that has big rewards and big risks, as long as money exists.

God I hope so

wew, watcha doing here, liberal?

tbh 'get money out of politics' is at least a start, they see how bourgie democracy is corrupt, that's a good step down towards leftism

This tbh, although
I'd say a reason people also can't be bothered with the left is because they talk people's heads off with shit they don't understand. Having an accessible and relatable alternative narrative is more likely to pass on to other people.

My friend is a dude weed lmao type, but his brain his so fried that its hard to have rational conversation. He keeps saying we should start a political party. He has dreams of going to africa to liberate people from what i can only describe as anarchic capitalism. Offering critique leads to butthurt.

you could overturn citizens united and maybe introduce legislation to limit the power of lobbyists. you're never going to get money completely out of politics, but you can definitely improve the situation. most people care about short-term, practical policies, not 'dude let's abolish money' idealism. one step at a time.

White Man's Burden is strong with this one

Not all of us have assburgers.

see

no, but you can make it worse by giving people a false-sense of security.

What do normies think money is?

Do they actually think about the strangeness of money-mediated commodity-production?

Like do people not think about how weird it is that in order to survive in the most socialized system of production in the history of the world, private producers without any direct knowledge or coordination concerning social need have to pay out tokens of crystallized value to get the means to make goods then pay workers with crystallized value then have to have those goods exchanged for that crystallized value in order to produce again in an anarchic fashion?

Its more that he wants to be someone important, being a che Guevara figure is a romantic prospect. If you explain that africans (the incredibly varied people they are) dont want some white high school drop out to come into their country guns blazing, he gets defensive.

probably exactly what it is.

If you aren't memeing please read Debt by David Graeber. Bartering never actually existed in ancient society and money wasn't created for the sake of convenience.

No. It's a defining feature of capital: it pervades. It invades everything.
