Also: The reason why many of us don't want to work is because fuck making $8.50/hr for 40+ hrs/week. If you can rely on your family for financial support unconditionally, there is no incentive to labour.

I would be willing to get up in the morning for $20CAD/hr, 30 hours/week MAX. With all the automation and labour productivity gains we've had, workers shouldn't be getting less than that. And with the reserve army of labour being as large as it is, why should we still be working 40 hours per week?

This is bullshit. The system is rigged. The people who own capital get richer. And the workers get poorer. As youtuber inmendham points out, capitalism is a zero-sum game. You get rich by fucking over the worker (stealing their labour value) or fucking over your customer (charging them more, which is basically stealing from their labour).

Yea I've come to learn a couple years ago (when I first thought about quitting my job at the time) that family members and friends are mostly just haters.

My dad wagecucked his whole life. And he doesn't have jackshit to really show for it. He has a paid-off mortgage, he has a nest egg. But is he happy? Doesn't look like it. He wants me to be miserable like he was.

My siblings wagecucked for decades. They are miserable. Too invested into their mortgages and lifestyle to admit the truth. They want me to be miserable like them.

When my dad (who doesn't have the heart to kick me out) sees me going to bed at 6 AM and sleeping until 3PM, doing whatever the hell I want, it must piss him the fuck off. He suffered so he wants me to suffer.

I still do odd jobs now and then from home (work from home). But business has been very slow. So I'm pretty much just a NEET. There are lots of unemployed people or people who want to make extra money on the side online who want to "start their own business." But it's hard to make money self-employed these days because of all the saturation in the market today. And because our customers are struggling financially themselves to make ends meet and don't have a lot of money to give you.

Being on the other side of the fence (business owner instead of wagecuck) is really interesting. I don't have any employees. I just work for myself. And yeah, it's fucking hard man. A lot of people have aspirations to earn a full-time living working for themselves from home. So there is lots of competition out there. And customers wagecucking for peanuts don't have a lot of money to give to us. What you are left with is a "race to the bottom" where we prostitute ourselves for the lowest price to try to attract business.

So even though I own the means of my production, I'm still getting fucked over by capitalism. Because my customers are fucking poor thanks to capitalism!

I hate it when the successful self-employed entrepreneurs I've talked to are smug as hell (and the ones I've talked to are all libertarians). They prop themselves up as being a success story and think they are Gods among men. When the bottom line is that they benefit from "first mover" advantage. Not from "entrepreneurial acumen." If you're a salesman with an established reputation, you attract the whales. The customers who have money. Salesmen like me who have a fair amount of online cred but we're not "top sellers" don't get the whales. We get the customers who are looking for "value". We get the customers who are looking for the best deal possible after coming home after a long hard day of wagecucking.
