I was in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school. I was a professional illustrator for the newspaper at age 14. I made $350 an illustration.
My art teacher began grading me on a "different scale" which was not the same as the rest of the class. I would draw whatever was assigned perfectly and always received D's or F's because my art teacher said "you have talent and I'm grading you on a different scale than the other students."
I failed art class even though every student said I was the best and my parents complained – and I was drawing realism and cartoons for our local newspaper which had a circulation of one million (in the 90's). I purposely failed my IB art "final examination" so the cunt art teacher and the IB examiner wouldn't fail me. The principal told me I was "afraid to succeed."
Mfw I dropped art and illustration altogether, because my art teacher fucked me over. Never put 2+2 together. I used to also do POLITICAL CARTOONS for the paper (subbed in) and now realize I may have been neutralized in the only thing I was good at: drawing and cartooning.

I was known as "the school artist" too..just unicorns, dragons, LOTR stuff etc. I sucked at cartooning haha. It was the only thing I wasnt bullied over and my way of coping with abuse. It was stifled in kindergarten by our teacher who hated me because I was daydreaming all the time (I was dissociating hardcore from things that happened to me from 1-4 years old). She would make me sit in the corner of a dark room away from everyone or sit outside in the winter cold. A nice gramma lady helped me cope with it all.
I noticed things eased up between 1-3rd grade, I think I lucked out with some hippie teachers, but the admin did nothing about the bullying. 4th-6th was brutal because the teachers had an agenda and 2 faces. I was always left out of the mural projects, other kids didn't understand why, either. I just felt like the ultimate social reject..but I remember moments of victory.
Middle school was so bad that it's a grey area in my brain. Most of the teachers were snakes. People I knew hid shanks around the school because the admim wouldnt protect us from bullies. I learned about serfdom and caste systems and I started to understand..and get angry. I threw a guy who molested me that year and the teacher just looked away.
I went to a private school and that's where I met Hillary's twin. She targeted any divergent thinkers and also shat on my art. I called her "The Warden" which, ironically is what Hillary is called behind the scenes XD
School was just a social conditioning/ programming/jail for kids experiment. I think the super hippie teachers might have been responsible for making my generation so tame, even though I loved them..anyway..
