The poor fucks up here that are on ARM style mortgages, generally 0.15-0.50% above prime will start losing their shit. Lots of them will be able to hold on for the first 6mo. Second increase will cause the housing bubble to burst and cause the market to collapse.

Stuff to keep in mind: Canada has 1.4T in mortgage liabilities. 30-40% of those are some form of ARM mortgage. 70% of the people with those style mortgages currently could not cope with a 0.25% increase in their interest rates. The market is hot, really hot. That the government is trying to force through rules so banks will be required to do one of several things: Take a $15k writedown on any mortgage failure, forced payment into the CMHC(think Freddie/Fannie in the US), to stop mass default collapse, a combination of both up to 40% of the total mortgage liability from the CMCH as a write-down/loss for any failure.

Now getting to the gud stuff: Since the housing market is so fucking hot all across Canada you'll see 40-70% devaluation of housing. Ex: In my shit area of SW-Ontario a 170 year old house that's 1400sqft can sell for nearly 200k, a new house can run you 300-400k. The median income is currently 44k/year. Now, Canada will hit hard recession levels like the early 80's. Cuckdeau will be forced to repeat his old mans mistakes and institute wage and price controls. You'll see nation wide protests again including the shutdown of industries and government offices due to wildcat strikes by nearly everyone. See attached image, that's one of the union protests. This is absolutely infuriating. I would go ballistic.

1. The cucked part is anglos and immigrants. I wish I was kidding. This is also why I wish I had thst screencap. Let me summarize it this way: On the provincial level, Quebec has four significant parties: The liberals, the PQ, the CAQ and QS. Only the liberals are federalists. Anglos and immigrants vote for the liberals at a rate between 90% and 95%. They represent 20% of the population. Last election, they got 41.5% of the vote. Polls put them at 33% right now. And so you understand, their popularity with the anglo-immigrant population NEVER goes down. This should give you a good indication of how things are in Quebec.

2. French Canadians were in that land for 150 years before the conquest. They already had treaties with the natives there. Furthermore, Quebec is the province which pioneered native rights (strangely enough). The natives will never support separatism because the federal government would take revenge on them. But the smart ones know they'd be better off as part of a sovereign Quebec.
