MANPAD IR-seekers have trouble tracking it because the A-10 runs a cooler engine than other jets, but when a MANPAD can see the engine (from angles or because of high engine performance) the A-10 is absolutely fucked, because it'll get one right up the tailpipe with no radar warning of it being launched and the pilot being unable to pick it up visually.
