If you pass, you get a license for sport shooting, which means you can shoot at the range. But, you cannot buy guns, for buying guns you need another license (you have to be at least 18 for this license). Also, you have to go to a range 10 times a year (if not, the government will take your guns), and every 5 years you need to renew your license.
But… beside for learning to handle a firearm, there is no good reason to buy a gun because in times of societal unrest the government will take away your gun(s).
