>Last year, DC Comics began releasing a series of comic books re-imagining several Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters and updating them for the modern era. DC has reimagined such TV cartoons as The Flintstones and Scooby Doo, and now the comic book giant is taking aim at Snagglepuss for a new series that will turn the character into a “gay, southern gothic playwright.”
Read the article before you start taking jabs. This stuff is unreal.
He has always been. Even as a kid I knew he was gay. Anyone 8yo or older knew this and younger didn't cared because it was boring as fuck. What's the big surprise?
Jaxon Thompson
Wasn't that a joke in the Simpsons and family guy? Might as well make Batman and he-man gay by that logic.
Thomas Morales
And nothing of value was lost.
Hudson Hernandez
Honestly, I don't find Snagglepuss being gay very offensive. The cats always been campy as fuck.
But this shit man.
Landon Adams
oh, now I see. So let me guess, the cat was campy as fuck since the beggining, and no one catch up to it back then because as the article said, that concept was out of people's imagination in general. So he's being prosecuted now. Am I the only one who thinks that besides all the virtue signaling this doesn't make sense at all?
Nathan Scott
as a kid me and others always remembered him as 'that gay cat'. the sjw revisionism and pandering is getting ridiculous in media for sure but this isn't that bad. not like anybody really cares for snagglepuss or remembers
Connor Torres
Lets be honest, we all knew he was
Asher Ramirez
Yeah that part's the real unbearable kicker.
Ryder King
thanks for this brave author drawing attention to the important social issue that is men inserting their erect penises into one another
Samuel Morris
Can't wait for all the gay furry porn of snagglepuss, it's gonna be awesome.
Levi Parker
Pretty sure that is already a thing, m8
Matthew Gray
You know, HUAC accusing Snag of being a PINKO COMMIE COUGAR would be hilarious if played straight.
But alas, this isn't Adult Swim. It's DC comics.
Cameron Bailey
haha i get it
Isaiah Morgan
And, this is the reason media has been going downhill the past number years, everyone takes themselves to fuckin' seriously.
Bentley Morales
How soon until Wikipedia praising this retcon as progressive and brave? What's next a transgender speedbuggy? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snagglepuss
Kevin Cook
I'd give the first few issues a chance, the flinstones comics are dank as fuck.
Hahaha I'm not going to buy it though, like every comic now.
James Perry
It was kinda obvious
Lucas Moore
Well, yeah. But now they are going to really play up the gayness. Now he'll be a really flamboyant gay that even other gays hate.
Carter White
Wasn't he originally a caricature of a celebrity, like most HB characters?
Ryder Adams
...
Brayden Wood
Indeed, which is my entire problem with these books. They're just dumb as fuck.
I don't care that you're having Mad Max Wacky Races or Scooby Doo stuck in Walking Dead, you have to acknowledge the complete ridiculousness of the premise. Treating them as "serious" concepts just makes you look stupid. You either go Batman '66 or you go home.
That's because the talent at DC is about as subtle and clever as a brick through a window.
I expect a panel of Snagglepuss waking up next to another dude for no other reason than just to enforce that he's GAY.
Nathan Johnson
I miss Adult Swim being the one making subversive versions of HB cartoons
Camden Bailey
I do too.
Brayden Murphy
Do gays even read comic books?
Connor Cox
Do anyone read comics these days?
Landon Murphy
I'm bi but I hate gay characters pushed into any form of western entertainment that isn't porn.
Nathan Morris
Once. Nowdays nobdy gives a fuck about comics, regardless of their sexual orientation.
Hudson Anderson
Doubt it, they're more into Holla Forums and lewd shit they can fap to.
Adrian Robinson
Fucking really? I'm not going to argue that Snagglepuss wasn't gay. But you shouldn't dig up old IPs and try to make them contemporary, especially not that hard. It is a talking pink cat. That hipster scooby-doo shit was more offensive than seth macfarlane's animated afterbirth known as "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!". All that flintstone cringe attempting to be contemporary and everything like it are abominations against the idea of entertainment. It is like fiction based necrophilia. It isn't like I have any strong reverence for fucking Snagglepuss, but if I see I guy raping a dead cat who's only defense is "I'm making social commentary" I don't give a fuck, I am going to want him to stop doing that.
Ethan Morris
Here in Latin america people always joked of how gay he was. He wasn't only pink, his voice, in spanish at least, was one of the gayest thing you'd ever heard. They even joke about it in Drawn Together. I don't think they should have turned him gay, though.
Andrew Wood
LatAm Barbera is best Barbera, they did some fantastic work with that dubbing, it actually made some of the H-B cartoons better, if they would had cut episodes it wouldn't been nothing short of an abridged series.
Carson Brooks
Wait I thought gays were privileged now?
Thomas Bennett
Everyone made fun of snagglepuss for being gay, even cartoon network got in on it.
Nathan Roberts
I hear old time cartoons like Looney tunes and Hanna-Barbera are huge in LatAm, can you confirm?
Tyler Stewart
That was actually funny
Dylan Brooks
Yes, Looney Tunes was great because it was funny, HB due to 10/10 dubbing and comedy timing.
Asher Long
Does this shit take place in the early '50's or something? HUAC hasn't been active in decades.
Owen Perry
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! DAMN THOSE SJ- Oh, yeah. Actually he was kind of asking for it.
Nathaniel Anderson
yeah but I mean come on, they are not gonna do this as a parody, it's dead serious.
Owen Martinez
I like benis and bussy and I like comics if I count
Christian Bell
god I want her to shove her tongue so far up my ass it gives me a hernia.
Lucas Sanders
Yes, mostly Bugs Bunney and stuff like that. The most famous one is "El conejo de Sevilla", which is actually my favorite one, and most Hannah Barbera. Most old timers have fond memories of it, but opinion vary. Most people love the Flinstones while others hate the Jetsons. In fact, I think the Flinstones is the most famous Hannah-Barbera here. Scooby-Doo is not that liked.
I sweat to god, I can't find el conejo de sevilla in good quality.
Daniel Kelly
I don't think anyone on the planet likes the Jetsons more than the Flintstones.
Daniel Butler
There's a public TV channel here in Mexico which in Saturday and Sunday's mornings puts old animu and cartoons.
Matthew Myers
If you stay up from 1am - 5am in Canal 5 you get some 2000-2006 Nick and CN lineup
Evan Perez
Boomerang?
Cooper Morris
Fucking neanderthal. Jane Jetson is QT. You can eat shit.
Aaron Gomez
No, Boomerang is cable/sat. Here.
Imagen TV (TV newcomer that's trying to make network TV OC after this has been relegated to cable tv networks since it always fails).
Canal 5, legendary infamous TV channel known for lowest common denominator and airing DBZ and Malcolm in the Middle on TV perpetual purgatory of reruns.
Brody Perez
I'll always fondly remember the crossovers
John Flores
I honestly can't watch the Jetsons without wanting to strangle George. A two hour a day job pushing a button, and he gripes about it.
Matthew Peterson
So that's why spics like DBZ so much?
Colton Cruz
Boomerang is shit now. There's a channel called Tooncast that have a 90s-early 2000s cartoons only and a block for old Hannah-Barbera and WB old cartoons.
Yu-Gi-Oh! dub would have been perfect if they went with the source material instead of the shitty 4Kids dub, the problem being that it still have the 4kids censorship. See, my problem with Mexican dubs is that you faggots can't refrain from using your slang. You're dubbing for the whole region, not only for your shitty country. I guess I just got used to it as a kid, but I swear my blood boils everytime I hear something like "Orale" and shit like time. I remember the worst of this was in Digimon Tamers. Holy fuck.
Well, the point of that was that the man of the future would have an easier life but still would bitch about it.
Wyatt Watson
Yeah, I know that's the joke. Still doesn't change the fact I would kill for that job.
Brody Murphy
But we are dubbing for our shitty country, is just bad luck that only Venezuela, Bolivia and Mexico can make dubs without suicidal accents, especially now that Venezuela is too poorfag to do theirs. Is the same with spaniard dubbing, they aren't dubbing for the whole spic language.
Yes, there's literally no taco from the past two generations who doesn't know the DBZ theme by memory
Juan Howard
Let's be fair, he was already flaming.
Sebastian Ward
>Locomotion>Tooncast>old Boomerang.
Charles Cooper
Nah, user, as I get it, sub licenses apply for all the region and are distributed accordingly, unless otherwise specified. For example, Disney and CN may dub in Mexico, but they export it to the whole region. Knowing that, how hard is to keep yourself from using your own slang? Don't remind me. Venezuelan dubs are probably the best dubs there are, and they're not coming back. Chilean dubs are also good, but they are too much hit or miss. Spaniard dub is a completely different thing. It's like US and EU releases of games, even english may vary in that aspect.
Hunter Martinez
Anons, we've got a preview page up
Jace Nguyen
I honestly don't know how to feel, is like a libtard in his deathbed.
Chase Ward
Oh good lord, they're really going the serious route for this.
Charles Gonzalez
Well the art is completely out of place, and the best I've seen in a comic recently. It's taking it to the serious route but at the same many authors could take notes on this dialogue.
Is this comic trying to make me as confused as Snagglepuss?
The feels.
David White
Oh good lord, they're really going the serious route for this.
Alexander Miller
...
Colton Wright
OH! I remember this dipshit. He wrote the shitty girl Prez comic.
Jeremiah Martin
I have to agree. Now I really want to see where this comic goes (And, hopefully it's not to the John).
Evan Carter
And, there goes all my hopes.
Ian Roberts
It's coming back
Brandon Butler
Yeah no shit
Wait, what?
WHAT?
Wait, I see now, it's furry Oscar Wilde.
Nathan Smith
This makes a lot of sense.
I have heard that every year since 2010.
Anthony Cook
Didn't flinstones take the serious route as well?
Ayden Murphy
But Animax was up to 2011. But yes, the crowdfunding is failing miserably
Austin Nguyen
Not really. It doesn't take itself too serious, at least. There's that chapter where the world was going to end and everyone started to hurt each other, as an example.
People wanted Locomotion back even when animax was up, because Animax fucking sucked and at the end of it's life it was teen drama, for some reason.
Levi Green
That was the fourth issue IIRC. And it had a lot of serious/drama moments as well.
Sebastian Perez
Yeah, but it was mostly played for laughs. Sure, it had it's moments like when Velma makes the comment of how superior Bedrock citizens are to normal cavemen when they fell to the same stuff, or how the mall was a sanctuary for the superior caveman. Now that I write it, it sounds like pretentious bullshit, but I found it all really funny, not to mention that the whole thing was played just to stick the scientist guy to the wall, like how everyone bullied him in his childhood.
Eli Campbell
Too add to what I said, what I specifically find funny is how cynical it is. They make a "philosophical" statement in one page and in the other it completely contradicts itself. I enjoy that kind of humor Please no bully
Jaxon Scott
It's not even virtue signalling. It's an edgy Harvey Birdman-esque spin on a character that (let's be real here) nobody would ever give a fuck about otherwise. I mean, literally nobody would actually want a true-to-animation Snagglepuss comic.
IDK, I like these sorts of weird spins on familiar licensed characters.
Lincoln Lee
...
Jack Ortiz
I agree. Snagglepuss is one of the least succesful Hannah-Barbera anthropomorphic character for a reason. The only thing remotely memorable about him is how gay he was.
Easton Wright
It had those mommnts like when Velma explain her fascination with hands painting, or the war veteran group, or Fred opinions on marriage. I liked that comic, and this could be good as well.
Aaron Diaz
Decided to provide a couple of episodes for those of us who haven't seen Snagglepuss.
Jack Sullivan
...
Jacob Parker
Well the art looks……………………… passable.
Adam Evans
what
So when do we get Wally Gator as a meth dealing psycho-billy?
Lucas Cruz
issue #5
Jack Taylor
That's Augie Doggie not Doggie Daddie. Doggie Daddie has a a collar, not a sweater.
Jonathan Taylor
Snagglepuss was introduced in '59 so it would make sense in the time period.
Asher Scott
Social satire Flintstones is basically the only way the whole 'darker, more serious' take on HB properties actually works.
The Jetsons would be entirely redundant, we already had Futurama.
Eli Richardson
Everyone who reads this page should take a second to reflect on the state of comics in America.
Parker Ramirez
I'm wondering this.
How the fuck do you transition an anthropomorphic cartoon character into a comic type?
Jacob Sullivan
How the fuck did we let it get like this?
Kevin Lee
My bad, I guess it did seem odd that he was calling him son. So I guess they're just going to have him 'inspire' Augie and Daddie might even be our Joe McCarthy figure unless they have literal Joe hanging around
Henry Roberts
Who is this book for?
Blake Young
Homosexual furries.
Camden White
What kind of homosexual furry is going to appreciate references to Oscar Wilde and the McCarthy hearings?
Actually, don't answer that. I don't want to know this hypothetical person.
Benjamin Brooks
You use the original style, not turn it realistic.
James Scott
Yeah, modelled after Bert Lahr who played the Cowardly Lion. Lahr wasn't gay either. Snagglepuss is only "obviously" gay if you buy into the idea of gay stereotypes which these people obviously do even though they'd be the first to decry stereotyping.
John Garcia
No, he is straight, there is nothing wrong with being pink.
Austin Wood
Seriously, did the Jetsons ever have a problem that wasn't a first world problem?
Wyatt Roberts
The latino dubs made by locomotion were better
Ethan Jenkins
Is Snaggletooth going to be in this?
Dominic Lee
If I'm not mistaken, those were either Venezuelans or a really professional Mexican studio.
Ryan Reyes
You live in a hypersexualized society that will turn anything innocent into something fetishised Of course you saw the flamboyant cat as gay When snagglepuss was created he wasn't seen as a homosexual only as a flamboyant pink cat because that's all he was
Anyway I struggle to care about this It's just another shit comic
Colton Rogers
It's been a while since a single image has rendered me completely speechless.
Isaiah Lee
Locomotion turned into animax and then they sold it to sony, and added a lot of "live action" shit, because that is what the young audience wanted I liked locomotion when they aired wierd animation from all over the world, didnt like it that much when they went full animoo and sometimes aired cartoons in odd hours.
Leo Gutierrez
So mexico has this shit now too?
David Long
I cant wait for the live action movie next
Aaron King
I'm reading Judge Dredd, and I read Swamp Thing not too long ago. I hate pandering shit like this
Zachary King
You don't like reruns of Pokemon and Jonny test 24/7?
Logan Carter
Do they even have pokemon at this point, i thought that shit went to disney.
The whole camp gay stereotype was always weird and silly.
These days if you have a super camp character the punchline is usually that they're straight as an arrow. (see Toy Story 3's Ken)
Dominic Stewart
Accesories cant be gay or straight
Adam Robinson
If anything, SJW's will probably be offended by the comic if it goes with the flamboyant angle too hard.
Josiah Lee
Is that going to be used at the end of every fucking chapter/issue like JoJo?
Xavier Baker
An excellent point. Hmm, a comic that offends everybody? You know what? Until I see more pages, I lend this endeavour my tacit approval.
As a militant daoist and a staunch libertarian, I can only endorse wholeheartedly any course of action which will inflict maximum butthurt upon both ends of the political spectrum. You fuckers have all been asking for it lately, and if your rectal cumuppance should be at the hands, paws of a flaming pink apex predator with a penchant for buggery, I can only claim sloppy seconds.
Noah Martinez
Hey I'm of the mindset that this can only be really shit if they try to make it edgy and "mature" like they did with a few of these books. If it's trying to be serious and maybe respectful to gays then maybe it can be harmless enough. But if it gets annoyingly flamboyant then no one will like it. Basically just another time to sit back and watch the fire burn.
Tyler Cook
So they now admit it. I knew it I knew it.
Nathaniel Baker
Why not? There's already a movie that fulfills that role.
Gavin Moore
...
Nolan Cook
Why? Why does this keep happening? It's not going to make you look more mature by association, it's going to come off with the same flavor of a teen wanting to smoke because he thinks it makes him look older.
Robert Morgan
I think they're trying to go in the same direction as the Flintstones comic. Take something cartoony, take it dead serious and it becomes hilarious just because of the absurdity.
Camden Bailey
well if thats the case then I'm alright with it.
Landon Parker
Maybe, but imitations never do as well as the thing they're trying to imitate.
Luke Edwards
When was the last time we saw this kind of thing? I think it was the super-serious Space Ghost and Battle Of The Planets comics.
I did love how even though it was Nexus-serious, and the art was Kingdom Come style, the Space Ghost stories still managed to throw in sly references to Space Ghost Coast To Coast, like having his real name be Thaddeus, and his wife looking like Bjork. And Zorak being clones, so that's why he can keep exploding over and over.
Now I want a super-serious Brak Show with painted art.
Nathaniel Martin
because Holla Forums is a board of cucking. you didn't stop it faggots.
Jonathan Evans
You fuckers have all been asking for it lately, and if your rectal cumuppance should be at the hands, paws of a flaming pink apex predator with a penchant for buggery, I can only claim sloppy seconds.
This is my mind on centrism and libertarianism. But if you must know faggot, the book is written by an really progressive lefty. There are no real libertarians working the industry right now.
Colton Kelly
I don't have a suitable response to this so here's Space Ghost following an an ant for nearly 12 minutes.
Juan King
Holla Forums and Holla Forums didn't stop anything either.
Mason Williams
At least they tried.
Blake Miller
Horseshoe theory says dicks are touching.
Aiden Bell
The answer is : very poorly Also speaking of pink pussies
Easton Phillips
wrong page
Jose Nguyen
Congrats. But what makes you think it'll stay confined to just two ends of the spectrum?
Zachary King
My body is ready. Do your worst, Snagglepuss.
Brayden Parker
This looks like an over-the-top parody of serious reboots, to be honest. It could be on either side of Poe's law.
Julian Thomas
Heavens to fagotroyd what's this?
Carter Sanders
What. That's… the complete opposite of the truth. What the fuck.
Bentley Cook
I'm currently reading A Contract with God and Beautiful Dahkness. I think a better question is are there any comics worth spending monthly on anymore?
Elijah Sullivan
How much longer are these clowns gonna be doing this?
Should I feel some cautious hope?
Hudson Taylor
Do you honestly expect them to bring up how the Muslims beat the Romans, burned down Alexandria (Which resulted in the loss of all of the Old World's knowledge), and how the Muslim Empire ruled Europe during the time that we refer to as the Dark Ages?
Jayden Jones
Is this the new version of gritty reboots? Serious reboots of comedic characters? Next you know, they'll make a reboot of the Mask where they alternate between showing the plight of the salaryman and the intricacies of nordic mythos.
The very act of choosing this character for this is paradoxical. They say that his mannerisms are what lead them to believe he's gay , but then if you ask any gay person if they act like that, they get offended because it's stereotypical.
The style transition wasn't smooth at all. It weirds me out to see so much more detail on these characters. Is this what the uncanny valley is?
The design of that "To Be Continued" makes me think the makers don't know what they want to make of this comic, seeing how it's supposed to be set in the 50s.
I get the sensation that the writing will be kinda like hearing that weird aunt that is desperate to appear cool, so she constantly quotes that book she read on buddhism while simultaneously using "young people talk"
I didn't want to remember these feels.
Jose Lopez
No you dumbfuck, Islam started the Dark Ages in the whole arabian territory due to retarded rules. Greedy assholes who kept the population illiterate so they won't read the bible for themselves used christianism to keep getting money, the lack of education created the Dark Ages in Europe. And the infighting between jews and christians is what destroyed Alexandria.
And that considering Animax wasn't half the channel Locomotion was, that shit really kept contact with its viewers.
Jeremiah Nguyen
Don't forget the barbarians, kicking a man while they're down
Christopher Barnes
I remember animax had a "lewd" segment, and one of the bumpers was a chick on a bathroom stall pulling her panties down and squirming. You could only see her feet, but goddamn, it made 12yo me super hard.
Brayden Walker
so furries.
Asher Bailey
nah seth mcfuckface cant make anything that isn't regular guy talking to normal dude
anyone remembers patty and marcie gay jokes on fucking everything
Jace Mitchell
The library of Alexandria was sort of destreoyed bit-by-bit over a series of wars hundreds of years apart. Plutarch blames the original fire on Julius Ceasar, but (according to Edward Pococke, Samir Khalil Samir, and Baron Silvestre de Sacy all of whom had some reason to be biased) the muslims are the ones who struck the very final blow, 700 years later.
William Martinez
Horeshoe theory is a Sam Hyde meme.
Michael Brown
I didn't think I would get a use out of this image so soon.
Zachary Garcia
Nigger please in locomotion there sometimes put some french cartoons were a monk fucked a women, tits and dick on full view
Michael Green
Videogames and Television/Movies are a far larger mediun that comics. At leasy Holla Forums tried many times, and television has been cucked since before any of us was born so Holla Forums doesn't give a shit, most of their memes revolve around how shit and cucked television and movies are. But with comics? You could have stopped it anons, you could have…
Aiden Allen
Wait in public television?
Gavin Morris
I was eleven years old when the comic book crash happened. That started a chain reaction that brought the medium to this lowly state.
I doubt you were doing much during that time other than sucking your mom's saggy tits.
Jaxson Butler
When did the comic book crash happen? Was it around the same time of the writer strike that affected TV shows and movies?
Bentley Powell
Cable TV They had: They also showed OVA's and that's were I saw AKIRA and Aeon Flux for the first time. The crowdfunding failed, only 4 days to get $73000
Daniel Kelly
I drank from the bottle tbh.
Nolan Hall
Motherfucker you probably look like you came out of a gutter if you have none of your accessories straight
Charles Rodriguez
Well, that will be a nice change from the original.
Hudson Campbell
...
Evan Lee
...
Gabriel Wilson
I was not aware Pink PanThor was a resident of Bizarroworld.
Andrew Jackson
...
Jacob Collins
I've never really paid attention to that image before now. Are the people in the middle jews, or just normal people who love a bargain?
Christopher Davis
it's the the rational happy intelligent smarties medium.
Jaxson Adams
We already have Questionable Content for that.
Jacob Williams
And that one's trying the opposite!
Cooper King
Yeah, I get it. I just find it hilarious that the theoretical middle ground people are degenerates who won't pay full price because she's a retard.
Wyatt Wright
Not quite. Jefphf makes no bones about doing his level best to piss off normal people or, as he calls them, "THOSE FUCKING NAZIS I HOPE THEY DIE IN A POOL OF THEIR OWN PISS ARGH ARGH I STABBED MYSELF AGAIN!"
Noah Price
>Everyone who reads this page should take a second to reflect on the state of comics in America.
FTFY
Austin Morales
How did the saying go? "The best revenge is to live happy" ?
Isaiah Myers
...
Chase Morris
1997. The same year Batman & Robin came out.
Logan Cook
...
Justin Scott
I believe it's "to live well." Personally, I've always thought the best revenge was putting a bomb in someone's toilet.
Kevin Barnes
Yeah, but sometimes a retribution can bring happinnes
Xavier Sanchez
I know, I'm just trying to get jeffph's hate of people who win
Cameron Reed
I've cringed at a lot of these gritty Hanna-Barbera books. The only one that's managed to hold my interest is The Flintstones, in part because I find the idea of Fred and Barney being traumatized war vets to be darkly humorous, and partly because I want to bone Wilma and Betty as they are drawn in this new style. However, I've yet to see any other ones that don't make me angry or confused. This one confuses the FUCK out of me. It looks like Finding Forester meets Maus.
Cooper Nguyen
That should give you an indication on how long comics have been degrading.
B&R isn't as horrible as people make it out to be. It's greatest crime is being boring corporate trash.
Luke Bennett
B & R would have been fine if it had tried to be less gritty looking and wasn't coming off of years of dark Batman films. For the tone it had it should've been a silly romp like Adam West Batman but it just had these obvious sets that made it look like a musical stage play.
Ryder Rodriguez
Horseshoe theory!
Thomas Ross
Didn't that used to be called (Aristotle's) Golden Mean?
Jackson Bennett
Movie with worst Bane isn't horrible?
Ian Watson
WRONG
Jeremiah Ward
Are you high?
Kevin Adams
From a serious non meme standpoint, Tom Hardy's Bane is the absolute worst. You wouldn't even think he was Bane unless they told you.
James Martinez
Prior to seeing the movie, I would have agreed with you, but I'll take the non-venom, calculating "Batman's match" Bane over the dumb lump of gristle from B&R.
Joseph Carter
...
Jason Hernandez
This is some immense shit taste. He's nothing like Bane. I could go on a huge rant about how terrible the writing is for these fucking movies and how childishly bad the characterization is but I'm not gonna. There's clearly no point trying to argue with stubborn people who don't know quality and just wanna watch normie films chocked with first year philosophy that's oh so brilliant.
Nathan Jones
leddit may remove itself from the premises
Zachary Torres
Who wants to speculate on what other H-B characters are going to be in this? Here's some thoughts:
* Senator Quick Draw McGraw as a HUAC member (and Baba Looey as his staffer) * Peter Potamus, as more-or-less the same character as he was on Harvey Birdman * Secret Squirrel as a G. Gordon Liddy-style political spook * Top Cat & co as actual, non-comedic gangsters. Mexican ones too, because beaners love Top Cat * Grape Ape? Why the fuck not
Also, does anyone know if DC is doing a Swat Kats comic?
Bentley Williams
It was dead in arrival anyway, they wanted to make an animoo netflix, should have made a cable/dish cartoon channel
Jose Rogers
Wasn't the whole joke that he was implicitly gay, but not explicitly gay?
Owen Miller
Practically
Angel Thomas
Poe's law doesn't have "sides." The idea of Poe's law is that parody and extremists can become perfectly indistinguishable from one another. The intent behind an action only matters in driving the action, it doesn't dictate the result.
Evan Miller
At least most of them
Ethan Lopez
Well, he's not Camp Straight, like the Pink Panther.
Juan Lee
Mark Millar was truly ahead of his time.
William Jones
Please tell me you don't really think the reason we knew he was a fag was that he was pink.
Joshua Butler
Okay usually I'm on board with this anti-SJW stuff, but come on. Look at this pink cat, listen to his voice, he's a complete faggot. This isn't exactly a stretch.. Not that I have an interest in a cartoon cat's sex life. Probably it would be better to just leave it as subtext.
Sweet Lord, why? Don't they see how ridiculous this is?
Luis Bailey
What the fuck
Austin Nelson
guys this might be satire unless they dont realize how ridiculous this is
Jason Morales
...
Jose Harris
That's Golden Mean Fallacy
Cameron Nelson
It's kind of like when they had Smithers come out of the closet. It kills the joke when it's not just implied.
Ayden Torres
But Holla Forums and Holla Forums told me that moderates always believe the absolute middle of all arguments, are you saying they're wrong?
Justin Myers
As a militant daoist, I consider myself an extremist moderate. I believe that people of all races, creeds and colours should live together in harmony or I will fucking kill them.
Kind of like Billy Jack, you know?
Adam Diaz
Most "moderates" are just too cowardly to speak their actual opinions.
Lucas Reed
Well, yes, most people of moderate beliefs are also moderate in action. THIS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.
Gabriel Phillips
Not to sound preachy, but that's because they don't want to get off of their ass to do stuff. They figure that whatever happens does or doesn't affect them regardless, so why should they care?
In a way, it sort of reminds of of the rule of thirds. You have a third of the people who are against it, a third of the people who are for it, and a third of the people who don't give a damn to care.
Juan Morales
Does this mean Jews are right? I got send to the left for saying brokers were abusive assholes and banks need more control. I also would've been more libertarian but I opposed abortion.
Luis Hernandez
This is probably the most replied non-get post in Holla Forums for a while, besides Jim Jinkins (IRL Doug) getting cucked by Roger.
Bentley Lopez
Even the mostly unbiased moral compassed hasn't learned all the alternatives, the RINO's are still considered the right.
Cameron Rivera
It'll get better.
Kayden Ward
This picture just leaves me very confused. Why does this even exist?
I'm not angry or offended or anything retarded like that… I've got no attachment to Snagglepuss… I just don't understand what they were thinking with this. Who is this supposed to appeal to? Who is the target demographic?
With the Flintstones one, it atleast makes sense. Like it or hate it, the more realistic art style works since all of the important characters are human anyways. The more serious subject matter makes sense since it's aimed at an older audience who were more likely to have watched the cartoons in their youth. Adult concerns for an adult audience and such.
Nathan Nelson
Same here. I'd be more enraged if they'd done this to a character who: >Wasn't one I only ever saw in Yogi's Christmas
Personally, I'll be downloading issue one to find reaction images for my "gays" subfolder.
Jordan Reyes
Look, I get it. Nolan's Joker and Ra's Al Ghul had me gnashing my teeth in rage. But even I was able to leave my autism at the door when I realized how over-the-top hilarious Nolan-Bane was. From the weird pseudo-Dutch accent to the one-liners that must have made Arnold weep bitter, jealous tears. He's just fun as hell, and if you can't enjoy him as he is, just consider him a parallel-universe Bane who never figured out how to make a venom-harness.

Easton Wood
Sure, he is fun, but he is fun just for how bad he is.
Gabriel Young
top cat become alt jazz musicians from austin and are cats because they are an anarchist collective.
Isaiah Ramirez
I didn't think I'd have to use all of these at once to properly encapsulate my reaction, but I have no recourse.
This brings shame upon humanity.
Ryan Ross
that style looks creepy
Christian Foster
It's heinously over-detailed. The poor resolution and compression of the image doesn't help, either. Gives it a texture that's like rubbing sandpaper on your eyes.
Kayden Baker
At least it still better than current year marvel art
William Adams
Twitter furries are not pleased.

CY+2 just keeps getting better.
Nathaniel Fisher
If we agree, why are we arguing?
Julian Reed
I like how the artist was physically incapable of leaving out a queer eyebrow and half-lidded bedroom eyes
since furries get all offended when people call "their identity" a fetish, human beings can just tell them they can smell the pheromones
Christopher Bailey
they can't stop
the mean meme energy of reality has gotten too high
everything will keep getting more recursive until everybody shuts their damn mouths about everything
Matthew James
Speaking of furries and vaginal odor…
Carson Martin
that was not an invitation to start a furry cringe thread
Parker Adams
It seems to be purposely off-putting in its realism, matching the tone of the comic, as opposed to something you can masturbate to
Like male gaze only genuinely terrifying

Our last hope is that they won't breed, if I wasn't such a libertarian and supported people being allowed to do whatever retardation gets you off I'll kill them myself.

If you can honestly say that you're libertarian enough to allow filth like that to go on, then I'm not sure whether I respect the hell out of you for the strength of your convictions or want you to die with them.
I never said it was a bad beat up but anyways. 1st time. "Shit if I get in the next bus to the same direction they'll now I didn't needed to get out in the first place… fuck them then". Now, the bus stops in my city are this capsules in the middle of the street and this was empty. Now I could swear that thing made of grease that blocked the sun had a man voice. It was past July. In retrospective I could've just shut up right there.
When I got up I told the transit officer that there were some crazy birches riding the bus tour, didn't heard of them in the news so that was it.
Brandon Wood
2nd time. You see, I'm not really into national pride and I thought that many problems could've been avoided if Mexico decided to work with Trump instead of being so fucking stubborn. Fuck me then, if I run the other is gonna catch me and then they gonna rob me and stab me. I haven't been doing martial arts for 4 years but I did practiced Kick Boxing since I was 8. I found a police truck later and got in the trunk, I told the officer where I was mugged but we didn't found them.
Jason Scott
Your first mistake was trying to reason with them. They don't understand reason and it just makes them angry.
Oh shit, dude. You're going to need to work on your spider-sense.
Camden Sanchez
Those aren't far off from her actual comments

Esas historias son más falsas que un billete de 15 pesos.
Brayden Cook
Scary isn't it?

Faust is actually pretty cool when it comes to feminist stuff like Sommers is. Lauren is probably one of the last decent feminists today.
Isaiah Bailey
Weren't Snagglepuss and Mildew Wolf from It's The Wolf the hosts of Laff-a-Lympics?
David Evans
Well she couldn't be a third wave feminist and still get her attention-whoring-with-her-tits on.
Brody Hernandez
Uh huh, I think it's time for your daily dose of /pone/, buddy: >>>/pone/277257

Luke Torres
Let this go to show that there is no such thing as a decent feminist.

When she said "all those marching 4 women", at first I thought "that's not a very big turnout for a march".
Wyatt Cook
Fellow Mexican Trump supporter here. I've made people around me hate Trump less and have defended him and his policies by making them see the whole thing from a Mexican perspective. I even got a guy to hate Obummer and support Trump along with me. I've also redpilled a couple of people, but I've had to be subtle and always ready with facts and comparisons to Mexico's economic/political situation. Throwing a "it's them politicians and government's fault" here and there always help me, also, lots of memes and jokes. But it's been a hard road ;_; and there are so many MSM zombies around still. Gotta hide my power level.
Luis Gray
Da fuck? Why are you wasting time with that shit?
Benjamin Sullivan
Why does this exist? The five people who still read comics now don't know who the fuck these guys are and any old farts who want to remember their youth will get salty over the faggening of it. And that 'art'. This is terrible.
Ian Garcia
Because I want to. Because Mexico needs to see nobody truly cares about Mexico and our government needs to start investing in our country instead of selling out our resources without even attempting to exploit them. Mexico needs its own Trump. Only dumb people hate on Trump and say shit like "Make America Mexico Again", it's their country, their resources, their soil. How would Mexico feel if the Guatemalans came into our country and said "Make Mexico Guatemala Again?" What don't just focus each one in their own country? You don't go to another people's home and force them to take you in when they don't want you there? And most of the crime here is perpetrated by foreigners, ever see the news? Remember that French woman that kidnapped and killed people and helped the narcos? And I'm tired of Argentinians and other foreigners taking over our media and businesses.
Kayden Lewis
*Why don't just focus each one on their own country.
Levi Butler
Go riot at a university over a fag Jew.
Parker Cruz
Its a third world country get used of being bullied by first world countries, nerd. Also 99% of the narcos in mexico are mexican.
Juan Barnes
Selling your resources makes sense as long as you don't have people trying to sell off as much of it as soon as possible for some short term gains that fuck you over after a couple years.
The US learned this ages ago with the lumber industry and it's why they now plant trees that they can harvest later.
Similarly, rather than Mexico just trying to drill up all their oil immediately which will just lead to them running low, they should try to plant skeletons now so that in a few years it'll grow into new oil that can be harvested.
Zachary Myers
IIRC, isn't oil able to replenish itself over time without any human involvement?
Owen Allen
It's this mindset that led to our redwood forests being almost decimated.
Nolan Martinez
Are you 12?
Tyler Martinez
proof?
Colton Gomez
That man lives to shock Holla Forumsacks.
David Martinez
Over thousands upon thousands of years, yes. That other faggot is full of shit.
