And this was avoidable. Continue popular cartoons with the comicbooks, make the MCU congurent with its own comics line, have the movies take up right after the conclusion or cliffhanger of a comic strip amd vice versa.

Star Wars did it with G.Tarts Star Wars:Clone Wars. It worked wonderfully.

Normalfags won't read 30 issues just to understand a hour-long movie.
Even if they did, the comic would either be filled with memes and non-stop fights like the movies, or be boring dialogue expositions to justify the past and future movies.

That being said, I always thought they were going to do 1-6 miniseries between the films that only introduce/explore side characters and give them away at the films, but they never did, losing their chance.

Also, DC could bring themselves way out in front if they just gave WB their characters for less in terms of licensing. Another DCAU and they'd be swimming in spare cash again.

The most profitable anime right now are sequel to popular anime like Dragon ball z and digimon or fan service packed action series like fairy tail or western capeshit inspired shows. The main difference between SJW shit in comics and the moe wave in anime is that moefags actually consume the product. They buy the manga/LN. They buy the BDs. They buy figurines, dakis and whatever mundane merch comes from the series they like. They are actually founding the industry, which is why nostalgiafags aren't getting that much attention. The OVA bubble had burst a long time ago, instead being replaced by "buy the BDs if you want to see this uncensored" and ultraviolence doesn't really get on TV anymore (unless you have shows like Terra Formars where the screen is 90% dark). Classic shonen is pretty much dead aside from what the Jump pulls out. DBS is what happens when you refuse to let a show die and has become pure fanfiction. Multiverses, time fuckery, more revived villains and retarded transformations because spics, niggers and yuros keep riding nostalgia from ~20 years ago. Only One Piece is still going somewhere, Naruto became a corpse and refuses to stay dead via milking the ending, and Bleach and other attempts at becoming the next big shonen like Toriko have been mercykilled. The only shonen in recent memory that could have some semblance of success is BNHA, but they might've milked the cow too early.
In regards to Berserk and Jojo, that always get brought up as the "enemies of moe" for some retarded reason protip: you can still watch/read both and moeshit, they aren't mutually exclusive as normalfags make it out to be, Miura doesn't give a fuck anymore, and by the time the ending goes around it'd be a big letdown for either fans who wanted it to go full edge and "muh Griffith dindu nuffin" or wanted Guts to finally get a good ending. I've been doing independent research on anime at the start of this year.
Writing a little about each one from cursory observations, for fun.
I'd say I've watched most touchstones but I like to see evolution of ideas and such, maybe find some hidden gems.
Perhaps just learning more about the industry that devolved into light novel filth for Japanese middleschoolers.
I've made it up to the mid-1980s so far.
Along the way I found an anime called Stop!! Hibari-kun! made in 1983.
Basic romcom shit.
The catch is that it is about a guy who's mom dies so he goes to live with a mob boss she knew, who has a son who is a trap.
Couldn't find it online because Toei is pretty good about putting the kibosh to things people throw up online.
But I could find the manga!
I'm reading the manga.

The very sick thing is that I know I would enjoy this more than anything the big 2 are cranking out.
