Being in the mountain time zone and far away from the animation centers of the country doesn't make it easy, but I've proven I can animate and make backgrounds at least as well as Bojack Horseman-tier with the paid gigs I've done in the past. Second, giving out federal loans or grants based on whither or not the degree will pay off is subjective. However, since the above applies in every single situation, regardless if they got the degree or not, it's hardly an issue. If you've ever gotten loan money for school you will pay it off, regardless of your career.

The next four years is going to be WILD.

What the fuck school offers a majors program purely focused around drawing? That's usually a specialization to a Fine Arts degree, not a degree unto itself.

It's not the end of the world, start working on your portfolio. If you're going to school for drawing hopefully it hasn't been a completely worthless experience. Unfortunately you will have to accept the reality that artists have a high unemployment rate and that it's an extremely competitive field so you might have to get creative with how you find work, if at all.

Hopefully you didn't pay too much to go to school. I never entertained the idea of getting a job in the field so I've just been studying on my own the past couple years.
