The only reason they split the board is to drive up intra-board rivalry and boost pph during the post-election season.
Now that the left has been essentially squelched by reality, there is no need for /leftypol, and it is simply being abandoned as a lost cause.
The solution to this has not been to re-merge the boards, but rather to engage in mass 4chan-esque permabans on Holla Forums, with relaxed ban regs on Holla Forums, in an effort to drive banned Holla Forumstards here. The goal being to initiate the same sort of intra-board rivalry between Holla Forums and Holla Forums that existed between Holla Forums and Holla Forums, in an effort to keep PPH up.

The problem with that is that while that may have worked a year ago, currently nobody on Holla Forums has the education, intellectual capacity, or life expereince to engage in any sort of legitimate political argument/discussion. The average age level of Holla Forums has dropped significantly in the last 6 months, and is largely under 18 anymore, with many users in their early teens. Most Holla Forumstards don't even want to engage in political arguments or discussions, even for fun. So the response has been pretty negligible. It also explains a lot of the continued numerical decline of Holla Forums…lower the average age of posters and toss in Holla Forums refugees posting tons of Holla Forums threads, and people will not want to stay.

You would think that, but it is not what has actually happened. Yes, there are more Holla Forums threads on Holla Forums, but they are largely shit on or ignored. Which is why I concluded that most people on Holla Forums simply don't care to engage in that sort of discussion. If they were inclined to do so, they would be on one of the pol boards to begin with, instead of on Holla Forums.
The only ones here wanting to engage in pol discussions are the b& Holla Forumstards. It is no different that the discord posters. Nobody ever posts in them, because nobody here gives a shit about discord except for those dumbasses posting the threads.

Holla Forums is mentioned a multitude more often from people who get butthurt from their existence than people actually from there. I can count on one hand the number of times I ever actually saw people unironically posting their shitty catgirl or the bourgeoisie pig or some shit whereas I see posts/threads about how garbage they are a dozen times a day. The only people who make them relevant at all are the people complaining about them, seriously.

Further, the only ones posting in them are the other Holla Forums posters.
I don't think that it was intentional, but Holla Forums has become the bunker board for anons banned from /pol.
