Theoretically could the downfall of the EU (assuming Brexit kills it) lead to a potential radical communist or anarchist uprising? The nationalist reactionaries and unscrupulous fascists have an uncomfortable amount of support at the moment, when a decade ago it wouldn't have been remotely similar. All the "far left" parties in Europe like the Swedish socialists are actually closet boug corporate puppets guided by centre left NWO porkies like Soros.

Could a genuine far left movement find ground?

I believe it is too soon. I think that a more far-right movement is bound to happen first. Although stuff is happening in France that is pretty interesting.

France is really the guinea pig of this idea. It's like everything going on x10.

The question is, would you prefer a far right movement to the liberal NWO status quo that is the European Union?

I'll take the far right over current status quo of neoliberalism.

neoliberalism was far right enough already

No fascism always follows a failed revolution. Not the other way around.

Britain was always a lukewarm EU member - wasn't even in the Euro. This won't kill it, so it's pointless to speculate.

And if it did, we're not in a position to come up on top yet. Organize!

Lol fuck that

wew

He's right though.

There was a revolution in Italy? In Japan? In Chile?

Fascism is politicization gone in the wrong direction – instead of proper left response you get reactionary populism. Unrealized revolution floats as a specter.

Lolwut Pinochet replaced Allende

lol whut

Interesting

political revolution

XD good one

a failed revolution is always followed by fascism, but fascism doesnt necessarily have to be preceded by a failed revolution

Pinochet wasn't fascist, it just was a military junta like any other.
In Italy the events of 20-22 could be indeed called a failed revolution

Whoa there comrade why not?

True.
Aliande was just a counter-revolutionary petit-bourgeois.

Far left and far right growing fairly equally in Western and Southern Europe and will have to ideologicall fight it out, sure, but Central and Eastern - i.e Germany and their submissive Balkan territories - are still centre-right, pro-capitalist, and strong. If the EU crumbles Germany will mop up what's left; new empire in all but a name.

Maybe in Europe. Britain is sliding in an ever more reactionary direction, and if Scotland and Northern Ireland break off to join Europe then the elections will take a huge swing towards the right.

enjoy a death camp

I'm not sure about other countries, but there is no far right to be seen in Spain.
THE LEFT HOWEVER

*Allende

if the left does manage to rise in france due to all the reactionaries shitting things up, glorious comrade spain will probably awake from its slumber as well. France, spain, and anarchist free territory of former greece will probably form some sort of communist european coalition.

Far-right and neoliberalism walk hand-in-hand. Far-right regimes work by developing an environment filled with fear. Neoliberalism thrives in such an environment as it gives them the opportunity to go full-throttle towards anti-social measures "for the sake of economic stability"

After our fall, they'll be next, that's my only consolation.

No.

There will be an increase in far-right and fascist/white power groups. Although there are fairly good reasons for leaving the EU (while also staying), most people who voted to leave did so solely because "the imigrnts r stealing our jobs and rapin our wommins!!!!!11!one".

Scotland looks like it could get a second referendum. I'd say Scotland has the best chance of a revolution since they're mostly far left. People who seriously think leaving the EU is going to favour a communist revolution are retarded or don't actually live here.

...

explain why you think this will favour a communist revolution or gtfo

The goal of any current, non-retarded leftist group should be to decentralize, dismantle, and otherwise destroy the bourgeois state and international system, no usurp it. In that sense it's a good thing that the EU would fall, to give autonomy to domestic political uprisings without fear of being squashed by German bankers and the international capitalist class.

Even so, the breakup of the EU is not good in an of itself. It's up to the left to ditch the reformist/corporatist shills, and reclaim their popular support by confronting rightist populist nationalism. If they succeed, we can always build a new, anti-capitalist EU later.

But Marx told me everything is motivated by economemes???

...

Yeah, the conditions that create racism are rooted in economy.
