Anyone who takes doesn't disregard the "reacting in attoseconds" bit needs to kill themselves. For someone to hold a conversation, like Zoom is in the panel, he's got to experience time at generally the same rate as a normal human. I've always had the theory that speedsters have two "levers" to their powers. They can control how fast the go, and how slowly time is experienced. So when running around the city, the Flash might have "speed" at 7/10, but his "time perception" is at 2/10 about the same as a normal human being.

If a speedster is in normal conversation with someone, they have their levers both set to 1/10, normal human settings. If something suprises them (pulls a gun, trigger an explosion), they have to react at normal human speeds to "pull the lever" before they can react at superhuman speeds.

I wish they would use this explanation in comics, because it allows normal traps and guns to still be a danger to speedsters without it seeming ridiculous.

I guess that's one difference between him and Superman. Goku to an extent has to concentrate his chi to use his power, and most of the time Superman is consciously holding himself back and slowing himself down. He tend to just stand there like a potato when villains punch him.

GT was fucking terrible all the time, Super's just terrible some of the time. So it wins by default, anybody who claims otherwise has either never watched them both, is blinded by nostalgia, or is a dumb faggot contrarian.

Why would they ever fight? It'd be more likely that they'd team up together to take down a galactic threat. I guess Goku might want to have a friendly spar with Superman just because he's a big dumb retard who loves to fight, but still, people like to act as if the pair of them would be at each other's throats from the word go.

Well..GT was starting to get good around the Dark Dragons thing…but the Omega Shenron fight just drags as if they can't make up their minds as to how to end him (hell, they brought Gogeta out even and still couldn't finish Shenron). Super has some good moments (I actually liked the Arale episode because for starters, someone remembered that Toriyama did something other than Dragon Ball. Not a huge fan of the Black Goku arc when they revealed that it's not really Goku but a jabroni Kai)

I'm none of those things, Super is shit. GT was not terrible all the time. It had decent concepts that weren't utilised properly. To be fair, Super also has decent concepts that I feel haven't been utilised properly. But GT was Toei going it alone. Toriyama only did a few designs and some artwork. Super has Toriyama writing outlines, co-creating or contributing to character concepts, and doing designs. The fact that the two shows more-or-less suffer from the same problems is unacceptable from Super's standpoint. There's no reason why it shouldn't be yards better.

Gt's problem was a) it had little to do with akira toriyama and 2) had crap for pacing. But as said it has good animation and a great soundtrack.

And honestly..I think it's a missed opportunity for having someone else other than Goku to be the main hero. We could've had Trunks and Goten's Excellent Adventure…but no, let's just turn Goku into a kid to hold him back.

Hell, pan and trunks with either bulla or android 18s kid going into space, or heck, arael. Just get akira to have worked on it. Since dragonball is journey to the west, make the new series loosly based on bamboo princess and the other tales. But one other thing, keep the ss4 idea, love or hate gt, the idea they are at their strongest by being one with their inner demon was pretty neat.

They did that with Cell saga, and partly Buu saga. Nobody liked it. Why would they repeat it?
I can't say I particularly liked GT Goten. Goten for me lost his appeal when he stopped being Goku's younger clone.

I don't agree with the decision to make Goku a kid again in GT but I can understand why they did it.

This has happened before. In the frieza saga, to get a zenkai boost (so nearly dying and recovering to get a boost in power) vegeta lowered his power enough for krillin to do a near fatal blow to him.

Cause the animators from the movies went to other projects since they burned out on Resurrection F. So it was a mostly new animators group and Toei wanted to budget the fuck out of Super. Most of supers issues have to do with drawing and animation. If they fix that in a dvd special kind of thing, fans would feel less burned. Yeah that's the thing, everyone complains that Gohan didn't take the mantle after Goku, but you know why that happened? Because Toriyama received tons of backlash during the Cell game for starting the steps to pass the torch to Gohan, and when he actually did kill off Goku and made Gohan the protagonist for a while, along with Trunks and Goten, the fans fucking hated him and the manga was selling like shit. That's why ever since Toriyama hasn't tried to do that again. It was better received in the anime, but only because people knew Goku was going to come back anyway.
