Holla Forums was also more active then, where the front page always changing and not always filled with smut. You had OC threads, drawthreads, storytimes, porn, generals, show discussion shitposting, etc… But 8/co/ doesn't have that activity and there's a number of boards specifically made to cater to threads like the penis and loli thread. And a good portion of the time the front page is littered with autists single image bumping smut threads because they want something to fap at instead of going to a booru and not looking shit for themselves.

There used to be some good storytime threads.

Im not saying we should get rid of them but concentrate their united activity into one sole thread, maybe two.

Also the mods should really stickie the drawthread, it would really help attract some OC making Anons to Holla Forums or at least motivate the ones we already have here. It's like saying "we care" by giving them attention.

The problem we have is the type of threads we get.
Someone posts some news or information, and we have a good chat about it. Goes off-topic as is bound to happen in any thread, but we have fun.
Never enough of these, and they get blocked out by a bunch of shittier threads.
People post news no one should/does care about, then samefag to keep it up on page 1.
Prime examples are the threads that have "Post more X", and keep getting made. We have 20 fucking MLaaTR threads, all infused with the same shitty jokes about whether Jenny "is for sexual", and the same pictures get posted.
The """Post not pedo shit""" thread is also filled with the same images and anons, so nothing happens except a circlejerk about the same things as the last thread.
I've seen a bunch of these being made in the past 2 months. The OP keeps sperging out when people tell him to stop getting people to make memes for him to post elsewhere, so I'm fairly sure it's the same guy. They also continually samefag and bump their threads with 1 image per post.

Porn dumps need to be stopped, either through bumplocking instantly or outright deletion. They literally add nothing to the board, especially when it's the same things being posted.

Pedo threads, ones that clearly are just circlejerking over underage girls in cartoons, need to be a topic of open discussion between Beyonder, Vols and anons, as there's a bunch of them, and they've spawned trip/namefags.

Generals of old shows that aren't airing need to be toned down, as well. It's rather annoying to have threads like, and I use the example again, MLaaTR, being constantly made. For a show currently airing, I understand a general, as there's constantly new things to talk about, but a show that ended 7 years ago with only 40 episodes does not need constant discussion. There's a bunch of them at any one time, and it just clogs up the catalog with the same anons posting the same things.

I'm sure there's a bunch of others things I could add, but that's enough for now.

The board does move slow, but that's no reason to let board quality fall. I'd rather the board be slower if it meant the threads I mentioned don't get made. Anyone that says hiding is the solution is an ingrate. Hiding threads doesn't solve the problem of shitty threads being made.
