You're quick about posting from Holla Forums, aren't you?

So, this ep is just a big fuck you to Chris chan?

Just seen it.
It just takes the piss out of every major sonic fans. From fanfic writers to people who complain about every game.

The only thing that could be really linked to chris chan is that scene from the OP's picture, and even then he just said 'Oh i'm not finished painting the arms blue'. It's just your typical 'Fan of main character oversteps the boundary and annoys the main character' sorta episode.

It's still pretty funny though

Oh, It is like, a love letter to Chris chan.

Feel clickbaited?

I got mixed feeling about SBOOM. It's mostly shit and the villagers are bunch of insufferable cunts that I prefer them incinerated by Eggman firebots. And yet there's several jokes that I can laugh at.

I still hate what they did to Knuckle tho. It's like "Oh hey he's called Knuckle he must be a Knucklehead!" The rest of the office laughed and it stuck. Fucking hell.

AND WHY THEY HAD TO HIRE THE VOICE ACTOR FOR MABEL FOR AMY?! AMY IS SO FUCKING TWO DIMENSIONAL I ACTUALLY ROOTED ON THAT PURPLE GAL FROM THAT ONE EPISODE

Fairly the VA has been doing the video games for a while

I actually love how Sonic Boom will take a "that episode" and efficiently salvage it. The writing is that good. I was so afraid to watch this, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if any of you have seen or read Stephen King's "Misery", but that's what the whole accident and kept inside the house part is about. I'm not really into Yandere- well, not necessarily, but Mark is hardcore 萌え

There are some great episodes that roast on the villagers' intelligence.
Naturally, but in this show, I'd say she's been pretty well developed as a character.

I'd probably like the writing and voice acting better if they weren't brought down by everything else

And the fact that he dresses like Chris Chan
And the fact that he's a total creeper - like Chris Chan

That's not true at all.

BTW, I heard Sonic is plotting to steal the Master Emerald. AGAIN.

THAT FIEND

Yeah same. I was afraid it would be like a clickbait in episode form, but I kinda like how the writing actually took some effort. The fan wasn't a complete strawman, and while cringey he at least wasn't a complete loser and the interaction between Sonic and him wasn't cringe but tolerance because he was actually useful until he goes all "Misery" on Sonic. I like how Boom Sonic of all people was pretty chill with him, even though he was probably just appealing to his ego.

Amy's voiced by Cindy Robinson.
Her voice is pure sex

That death glare makes me want to fuck Amy

none of the amy porn i find is from boom amy, its all from the old, red dress amy.

Have you ever seen porn of the Sonic CD version?

isn't that the red dress version?

or you mean the loli version? that one i know from the comics

Good writing? What? I flipped through CN today and I found an episode where Knuckle pretty much fucked someone's life over and doesn't feel guilty over it. They made him an idiot but it's just grating now.

red dress actually comes from Sonic Adventure
in Sonic CD, Sonic the Fighters and Sonic R she wore pic related

yeah, thats pretty much the original comic Amy

in the comics, sonic tells her she's too young for him to like her, so she steals sonic 1,000,000th ring that supposedly grants a wish and sonic was saving for when he really wanted something and makes a wish, to be older so sonic would like her, and that poofs her into the red dress amy, sonic still doesn't like her, the age was just an excuse, he just didn't like her because he just wants to go FAST

your breakdown of the plot of that portion of the sonic comic, while flawed and inaccurate, is still 100% exactly what happened

the Ring of Acorns was crafted by Nate Morgan using the power of a super emerald
amy wanted to go adventuring with the rest of the FF on a dangerous mission to the Lost City of the Ancients (tm) but was told she was too young, which she called bullshit on since Tails was younger and adventured all the time. She stole the ring thinking it would bypass the age requirement

I just find it funny in 98, they apparently only needed convoluted IU reasons for Amy and Eggman's new looks

they were trying to keep pace with the games, but after they started coming out yearly in the 2000s they said fuck it and gave each game a half-issue blurb for setup and left it there

i've read the comics like 6 years ago. at some point i stopped giving a shit.

american comics are, in general, a horrible waste of time.

How damn hard is it just to say she got a makeover?

You dropped em just as they started seriously improving.

The old writers are strange and stupid people, and Sega's nearly inundated the comics with arbitrary and strange demands on top of the overreaction to Penders' bullshit.

I dunno, Boom Knuckles I find the funniest character on the show.

The blue arms are almost certainly a reference to Chris-Chan. But the Sonic fandom is so many different flavours of fucked up you can't focus on just one.

Makes me wanna start watching this again. Any particularly good/bad episodes to seek out/avoid since season 2?

Everyone was autistic about the blue arms before Chris Chan's incident. Twitter, Kotaku, Something Awful, everyone said it looked off. Now people are pretending they never criticized the blue arms and just pin it as an autistic thing to say because of Chris Chan. Hypocrites.

No one give a fuck except for Kotaku because they thrive over all kind of controversy. Something Awful is an old relic no one give a fuck as well. All the screencaps came from desperate SA Goons wanting to keep the site relevant. Everyone as in a handful of people that keep spamming the social media with their impotent rage. And Chris-Chan is fucking Chris-Chan.

Btw, is he still alive? Chris Chan that is. I don't want to google him because I don't want to taint my search history with his balls.

/fit/izen Knuckles cracks me up just by looking at him.

Nowadays he just begs for money on Facebook, the days of craziness are over.

None of those people actually maced a GameStop employee over the blue arms

They did the same thing for Sonic changing into the Adventure design. A whole comic to explain why he had longer limbs and green enyes.

I'm sure some people on Holla Forums complained, at least not to the levels of Chris Chan. I don't blame them. The blue arms took some time to get used to, seeing that it was originally associated with color errors. But it's hypocritical for sites like Kotaku say that the only people who complained were Sonic fans when they did the same thing even its for controversy, and frankly that pisses me off. Own up to the fact or at least say the whole thing wasn't worth pepper spraying someone without creating a scapegoat.

It's obviously mocking Sonic fans but there's no doubt that Chris Chan was a huge inspiration for the character, he looks, sounds and even acts like chris.

He survived the hole in the balls situation? Well if someone live like a cockroach for a long time….

Actually the blue arms look pretty natural on Sonic. The color flow is better. I think they went with tan arms because it pop up better in 32bit 2D graphics. Also Kotaku is Kotaku, it's not worth pissing over. They are just a bunch of pathetic bloggers trying to pass as video game site nowadays.

I get the feeling "blue arms" is just one of the most easy-to-describe aspects of those weird Boom designs

I haven't actually watched many episodes and skipped a lot. I heard it's a decent TV show so it's a decent time kill.

Tails and Amy pretty much unchanged. Knuckles piss some people off but it's only a passing fart. Hardcore fans still have the original Knuckle anyway.

Mixed feeling borderline unbridled rage sometimes. The villagers are morons but at least the writers knew that and utilize it sometimes. A handful episodes are just okay while the rest are forgettable.

"Oooh! Sonamy! Very spicy!"

IT was good for the time

And that's why Chris' whole blue arms shit is so fucking hilarious. He didn't even realise it wasn't a reboot and that old Sonic never went anywhere.

The new episode killed me all the way through. They can't keep getting away with it!

I actually like this one except for the last part where Eggman just stayed there like a moron.

...

I heard Ian Flynn, the guy who wrote the Archie comics, wrote this episode. This really explained why the dialogue was much better.

While I assume it isn't deliberate, I swear if you look at the OP's image from a distance (or in the catalog) it looks like Sonic is cradling his expanded pregnant belly which unintentionally references that fucked up portion of the fandom interested in that.

I'll show you two dimensional faggot.

First off that's fucking stupid and makes no sense. They could have ya know, just included Amy in her new look and made a flashback of when Sonic meet her in CD. Also, that shit was never mentioned again so it makes no sense. And you know why it's not mentioned? Continuity errors, Amy and Sonic have a three year gap. The 90's comic with the Acorn bullshit made it seem like it was a six or so years difference. That fucks up the timeline by a lot. Not to mention all that stuff about Amy being a noble or whatever was totally retarded and again, never actually used besides that one time. Penders and the rest of the 90's writers didn't know what to do with her as a character, same as how they didn't know what to do with Cream, Roughe, Shadow, etc. Bunch of hacks are always shoving in their OCs that they later clain ownership of.

What, the 2000's? Because the comics only got decent around, say 2007 or so. When the Art was better and not quite as freaky as the 90's stuff and Flynn had more experience. Still, they weren't nothing worth spending money on tbh.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the thumbnail, but more on a subconscious level, since it wasn't actually that. I can't imagine what else the arm gestures would entail besides… Final Fantasy X.

Amy is pretty much blank slate character so all fan girls can use her as their self insert.

That's what a pleb would say. Amy was made by japs dude, japs. You know how those guys are with women. All she wants to do is be a good wife to a good hero. The average woman that plays games on the other hand is a huge whore. Though nowadays she's more of a comic relief, because western audiences though her motives were rather sexist and unrealistic, thus her infuation was turned into more of a comical thing so she wouldn't come off as sexist (because she's pink and girly, does steriotypical girly shit and wants to dedicate her life to some guy, etc). Personally I prefer that type of woman, I don't know why you westerners worship "liberated" and "wild" women, or bossy bitches (which is kinda what they turned Amy into in Boom, but that's written by westerners so)

OMG is that you Chris chan? Also you identify as non westerner now?

Did I touch a nerve? Come on, every woman that plays videogames is a pretty huge whore. And to be fair, Chris says he's a woman now, and he's a desperate whore so…

Meh, if we put a vagina near him he's going to fuck it anyway.

He pierced a hole in his balls and thinks that's a vagina forming due to hypnotic soundwaves that he listens to on Youtube. And no, i'm not kidding. I wonder, is Chris deranged enough to finger his "vagina"?

GO HOME GAMER GATE

I heard he was writing an episode.
If it's this one then I'll definately check it out.

what the hell is this garbage

a Holla Forumsack's sad attempt at forcing a meme

thats rude, I'm trying to read about how a 30-40 year old autist is being mocked by a product of a Japanese company he masturbates to every night, I don't want to read some shitty looney toons comic

I'm more offended that he combines Hanna-Barbera characters with Warner Animation characters like some cross-over obsessed autist.

I don't think they ever had cross overs with those

What the fuck this shows animation has gotten way better than it used to be.
Also the writing in the episode is far better. Which would make sense if Flynn wrote it. Apparently Evan Stanley is also writing an episode which should be interesting (but may not be very good)

Yeah but i'm pretty sure the show is gonna get canned. I heard CN doesn't actually make money from it (they just air it, it's not really theirs or something) and so they sended it over to Boomerang where it airs first, then it airs a few days later in CN in HD. The ratings aren't doing so well because of this. Boomerang is where cartoons are send to die.

You have to keep in mind which board you're posting in when you say that. Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly approve, but this is Holla Forums, so the poz comes hand in hand.

It's the beginning of Season 2. If what I heard was correct, the production of Season 1 was split between two different animation teams, and the animation quality would switch around a lot.

I don't know who writes the Archie Sonic Boom Comics, but I was enjoying those, too. I stopped around the point of the Mega Man Crossover when Sticks stumbles onto X and Zero. Fuck, that's fantastic, I need to get back to that so bad.

Yeah, but it's pretty funny considering this whole community came to by because Holla Forums and Holla Forums called some whore that "plays" videogames what she was, a whore. Our whole premise was that women that were involved in vidya were whores.

Batman crossover with Space Ghost before

Cwc himself came to prestige a thread about him.

It was outsourced to a French Canadian company right? CN pretty much don't give a fuck for animations not by their own production team. But I guess it's going to be around until season 3 that is.

Archive?

It was always animated by a french company. What, do you expect America to actually do animation? Well, Sega of America is dead anyway, but Sega of Japan made this specifically for western children, and since Japs have dealt with Frenchies before, Sonic Boom ended up animated by them. Japs don't know how to use CGI that well, so Sega of Japan picked the french studio because the frenchies are the ones experienced with CGI animation. Thus Sonic Boom is half french (all french production team in everything regarding animation) and half American (everything regarding writing, voice acting, direction, etc is American)

>defending chris-chan

…do I have to report you to /cow/?

not that guy but /cow/ is the gayest board in this whole site. I remember back when A. Wyatt posted on Holla Forums, someone showed him the /cow/ board and he said "That's the gayest thing I've seen in my whole life"

I just went to the /cow/ board to post some stuff, and apparently I got banned for a week for calling the board owner gay lmao.

Im just surprised how meta it is

that's because Sonic Boom is written by a bunch of meme loving fags that are really into all the sonic memis. The Sonic social media circle is like that too. Well, at least the guy that wrote this episode is not a buzzfeed writer like the others, just a trustfund ex-huffington post writer.

He's kind of a fag, but what can you expect from people working on television? At least he keeps politics out of his works, unlike most modern leftists.

What did he mean by this?

It means he's a trustfund lefty that went to an Ivy League college and is morally superior to all of us. Kinda funny now that I think of it, the episode he did is making fun of an austic tranny, but he's one of those "le trump is sexist meanie" fags. Really makes you think, doesn't it?

The phrasing of the "once saw and talked to a woman" part makes me slightly suspicious.

lmao I didn't catch it at first too

Attention whoring

Anyone who reacts more negatively than with an eyebrow raise at the trump tape has never had non-cultist friends before, especially female ones.

People born and raised through internet relationships and safe spaces, never interacting with real people.

It all makes sense when you realise these people are just the religious right's new branding.

This is obviously tongue-in-cheek.

Kinda hard to tell in current year
