You guessed incorrectly. Communism suffers from its abject materialism, and from a lack of vision and ideals, but it has an economic theory down to a science. Fascism suffers from being too idealistic and lofty, but otherwise its social policies and attitudes are good (No I'm not referring to unbridled militaristic expansionism - without a profit motivation such a thing would have no reason to take place). The coupling of the two into something with a healthy match of present-minded realism with future-minded idealism is a match made in heaven. Besides, the image of people wearing both Swastika and Hammer and Sickle armbands at the same time, raiding and burning Wall Street just sounds cool.
