What do you study or what do you work as?

4th semester Physics here.

Studied Russian.
Work Reception.

Majoring in Government (with a PPE concentration), minoring in Russian.

Literally nojobs but I'm going to go into the military.

Are you a leftist?

Nope.

Gender and islam studies.

Did any of you know Mohamed was the first socialist? And the first feminist? I bet you didn't!

low quality b8

I just finished graduating from a Religious Studies degree, with distinction :^), and I'm planning on getting some kind of entry-level office job for the time being. Hoping to go to South Korea next fall to teach English.

Do you think the manner in which physical theory is taught can have social effects on the modern scientific worldview that the majority hold today?

Human rights lawyer

human rights is a spook

First year CS.

This seems like a good thread to ask this, as somebody going into university in September which major would be the most useful for advancing the leftist cause?

Economics.

The one you are good at and enjoy yourself with, yet has some application in the world.

We can't tell you what major to pick just based of you asking us.

Economics! We need economists, who can provide a Marxist approach.

i do shitty abstract art

No one would teach you the Marxist approach obviously, you'd have to figure it out yourself but you'd be of huge importance. Somewhat like Richard D. Wolff.

you should do some propaganda OC

No, but I'm not sure if I totally understand the point you're trying to make, can you explain?

working on some atm

noice

this is guna be a tripdic with like color

Inb4 it looks like north korean propaganda.

Yeah, I was leaning towards economics, but I remember Richard Wolff once saying something about how economics courses are basically about jerking off over capitalism and that turned me off a little bit. But I guess knowing the enemy and the theories I'm critical about can only help so I might go this route.

I've thus far in my life been a music guy, but I don't think I'm really cut out for music and I don't think music is really a very good way to spread socialism anyways.

im prt ML tbh fuck dprk tho

so for example if you look at bells theorem, it brings up the features that a quantum physical theory cannot break.
The feature of nonlocality is ignored in a copenhagen "instrumentalist" approach. So there is a movement towards importance of the math, in this case the probabilistic wave function, rather than what it represents which is something like an implilcate order which bohm was working towards in the same manner as einstein
Maybe some sense of appreciation for the connectedness of all phenomena and movement towards holistic quantum theory extensions to be tested in experiment,
rather than the smashing of particles obsession of high energy physics

Mathematics. Algebraic geometry is the high point of human intellectual acivity

Tbh at this early stage of my studies I don't even have a great understanding of QT and I haven't dealt with the different schools of interpreting QT at all, so I couldn't answer your question. Physics is about more than QT and finding the 'universe equation'. I think that these are some rather philosophical issues I'll think about for my own pleasure when I have a good understanding of physics.

Political science, philosophy, history, sociology. But it depends on the university, most are right-wing or centrist-liberal.

yeah i agree.
I did a comp sci degree, though i always wonder if i shouldve done physics and more math.
You'll have a lot of fun I think mate

physics here

but want to study economy in Cuba

how do you explain epr paradox?
is time traveling even possible?

Econfag here, he's right. Grit your teeth and bear it, when it's over you'll understand the justification for capitalism and how to destroy them.

Has anyone noticed there are A LOT of "what job do you do"etc style of thread recently?

This never used to get discussed here much at all. I hate to get out the tinfoil, but this is weird.

Tutor, Grad student clinical psychology

Double-majoring in biology & psychology with a minor in chemistry. I'm going to be a neurosurgeon and psychiatrist.

Majoring in digital art and graphic design. With a bit of luck, I'll land a position as an archivist-conservator at my own school.

planning on learning either ethiopian culinary or golf management next year. which should i choose Holla Forums?

what are the requirements for those courses?

medschool here

good luck getting your degree when you're 35

Forget Ethiopian cuisine learn proud traditionally anarchists Somalian cooking, it's very simple, you just serve an empty plate and your job is done.

Re: art history, have you ever learned about Mannerism?

Pic related is my favourite painting, but everyone I know always shits on it because it's "degenerate Mannerist trash."

If you're interested in art history I highly recommend the Marxist art historian Arnold Hauser. His book Mannerism: The Crisis of the Renaissance and the Origin of Modern Art blew my mind.

I'm studying environmental engineering. I really wanted to study computer science but the field seem to be filled with the kind of insufferable class cucks that use to take business degrees 20 years ago. So, I've just been learning programming in my spare time.

This not strike anyone else as odd?

No

I'm planning to enter uni this year to do CS.

Please tell me this isn't true.

its just the standard e-peen comparison thread, just hide it and move along

Those are two different specialisations, 5-6 year each. And no, you can't do both at the same time.

Nordic Studies, specialized in Norwegian, optionnal in Swedish. I have finished a 3 year diploma. Gonna start a research master in the field on the subject of "Revolutionary violence in Norway at the end of the XIXth and the begining of the XXth century".
Currently unemployed, I look for a student job for the summer but since I don't have any experience and I'm a immigrant with a funny name, I don't even get answers to my mails.

I'm also a guitarist in a band that works pretty well, and we actually make some money to pay studio/artwork/touring/stuff with it.

I live in France, in Paris for the studies. Since there aren't any fabrics whatsoever in the city, I only have few options like a retailer or trying to find donations for charities. I can eventually find something in the city where my parents live, in agriculture like harvesting stuff and so on, it's the last option since I have to stay in the capital until mid july.

Sorry I deleted my comment, but you should try a job at the postal authority maybe. Any city has at least one and here were I live they're payed fairly and they don't care about the employees' heritage.

Thanks, didn't even think about that.
The funny things is that I'm white with clear eyes and light hair. Even my first name is european, it's just that my last name is impossible to pronounce so people assume that I'm some kind of monster from a unkown piece of land to mankind.

You in Oslo, comrade?

No, unfortunately.
I'll probably visit there next summer, though.

Me likey. What is your medium and original size?

I'm studying Medicine but currently working as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy. I enlisted before I was a Leftist, but now that I am I have a hard time reconciling my "service" with my beliefs.

At least the free education and training that I've been given will be useful for the Revolution.

Studying Geology and Computer Science, got a few different "pathways" to careers mapped out in my head

Well, I'm not a killer but don't push me.

Military theory. We have plenty of economists and historians. We need someone who understands how a military functions and how one might be constructed such that it is both modern and unable to hijack the revolution.

This.

Jazz guitar and a minor in philosophy :)))
Planning on taking the LSAT though.

law student
