The first-ever archaeological excavations at the Nazi death camp Treblinka have revealed new mass graves, as well as the first physical evidence that this camp held gas chambers, where thousands of Jews died.
the excavations reveal that the Nazis weren't as adept at covering up their crimes as they believed when they razed the death camp in 1943. Brick walls and foundations from the gas chambers remain, as do massive amounts of human bone, including fragments now eroding out on the forested ground surface.
"For me, that was quite shocking," said project leader Caroline Sturdy Colls, a forensic archaeologist who normally works with police to find modern murder victims. "These artifacts are there, and these human remains are on the surface, and they're not being recorded or recovered."

The 'gas chamber' enterance tile was only about 5 inches by 5 inches in size and was a tile commonly used in floors or in kitchens, and also as decoration. The 'Star of David' would have been the trademark on the reverse of the tile, and would have cemented into place on a wall or floor and would never have been seen by anyone. The trademark wasn't a 'Star of David' at all but a 'pierced mullet star', which was sometimes used as a mark on pottery and porcelaine products. The back of all the 'Dziewulski i Lange' tiles had the pierced mullet star with the letter 'D' on the left of the star and the letter 'L' on the right, representing the name of the company. In the picture of the tile found by the team led by Colls you can clearly see the 'D' part of the trademark. The whole excavation was a joke.

I think what happened, quite honestly, is that in the late 70s & early 80s, a lot of racially aware folk got involved in Holocaust Revisionism because they saw it a vulnerable opening. If they could demonstrate the conventional narrative on the Holocaust was fabricated, then you could have a domino effect that would break the spell on many other topics. This was before the internet, and frankly things looked way more dire than they do today, as the media had such a stranglehold on thought, so focusing on what seemed like an easy & vulnerable chink in the armor appeared to make a lot of sense.
The problem is that there are enough honest questions about the "Holocaust" and enough technical facts that you could study it for years, and the vast majority of us didn't want to do that. After a while, it became clear that this wasn't a simple question, but one where debates could be won or lost in part based on who had a better knowledge of the subject.
That was part of it as well, there are allegations that Weber drove IHR into the ground. Another big turning point was that age caught up to the late Bradley Smith. Yet another was David Irving losing the trial with Lipstadt. And finally, David Cole disappearing in the mid-late 90s right after he took a few shots at Faurisson and others I don't know how right David was or not

They didn't have a lot of food, diseases were going around, and work conditions were not very good at all. No one denies that they were treated horribly on the basis of their ethnicity. There's no evidence for mass killings or gas chambers and most of the sensational stories about the holocaust are fabricated to the point of impossibility. The only footage we have of the supposed gas chambers show devices which could never have functioned in the way that the narrative claims.
One example I remember is someone had determined that if people were actually being killed with the gas as claimed, their skin would have taken on a bright red hue after death. With all the descriptions of piles of bodies and mass graves, why is there no mention ever of the bodies being red? Kind of a big detail to just skip, you'd think.
And that's besides the point that nobody has ever found these mass graves. Where did all those bodies go?
