itt we shit on primmies
Itt we shit on primmies
primitivism is retarded because the material conditions of a pre-industrial society will always demand hierarchy.
"anarcho"-primitivism is a contradiction in the same way "anarcho-"capitalist is.
are you saying that all pre-industrial societies were hierarchical?
PS: not a primitivist
Bookchin go back in your grave.
...
i was referring to feudalism
you can't recreate primitive communism, pol pot
REEEEEE GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY MOVEMENT
I still don't get your argument. So, because feudalism material conditions demand hierarchy, a primitivist society will be hierarchical? It makes even less sense
i'm pol pot because you have a bad argument?
8 billion people makes intensive agriculture necessary
IT IS - MY - MOVEMENT
THE POWER PROCESS
RAPINING
POWER
GEEE GEEE GEEE
Anarchoprimitivism is realy easy to do.
Go live on a mountain, with a group of people and try to survive.
Oh, wait.. It's mostly made of bourgie kids that can't live without iPhones.
not really, pls read the conquest of bread.
We can make self sustainable communities with current technology, but we would have to eat much less meat though.
urban farming should be a thing by now.
i hate veggies ;-;
I have very little patience for primitivism myself, but being so ideological that you would make a thread dedicated to just shitposting about primitivism is quite a low in terms of content.
kys tbh
Fuck off
zerzan go back to your cave
Not at all!
Only the "you dream about living in nature, while doing nothing towards it" meme.
And not towards anarkids in general.
Only those bourgie primitivists, that just want to rebel against bourgie daddy.
You sound awfully triggered by the cavemen wannabees. If you could explain to us why you hate them so much, then this thread could become halfway decent.
primitivism is kindof stupid but at least it's anarchism in some way
like you can have cowboy anarchism, pirate anarchism, anime anarchism and anarcho primitivism and we will critique anarcho primitivism but at least they aren't asking for a system with property and bosses and calling it anarchism
Isn't this extremely naive?
Even if you decided to go full Tarzan and support anarcho primmie, human beings are social animals, so I don't see why a hierarchy wouldn't arise in some primitive tribe.
I mean, how can anarchism address global problems with the inefficiency and stupidity of direct democracy, where every yokel is given 5 minutes or more to voice themselves, and somehow the collective tries to reach some decision that doesn't piss off everyone.
I want efficiency that comes with a state, with utilities, roads, getting food, internet, etc.
I don't want to live in some shit commune with low standard of living, praising the "communist party'/'anarchist local council'.
No wonder the capitalists are doing so well.
They have plans to colonize deep space and you fuckers are still mentally trapped in the 1800's with your dogmatic religious obsession with Marx, Lenin, Bakunin and others. And you still can't get the fuck over anarchists vs communists, and which special snowflake ideology the majority of people will support. No wonder the working class supports conservative movements, you people can't get anything done, let alone create a coherent blueprint for society.
Everyone in this thread assumes anarcho-primitivism means caveman living. Can't you see that your worldview has been poisoned by Western media and propaganda? You see everything in terms of extremes: it's either star trek or caveman living, it's either good or evil. Your black and white thinking doesn't do you any good.
Anarcho-primitivism means getting back to basics on certain things. For example, does everyone need a car if we have public transportation? Why can't you grow some (or the bulk of your food) instead of relying on others? An acre of land is all it takes to feed a family for a year if the acre is utilised properly.
Do we need to build houses out of rebar and concrete when we have timber and hempcrete which are both recycle-able, sustainably grown and environmentally friendly?
Why do we need to derive plastic from hydro-carbons when we have hemp plastic?
Do we need to pump our children full of antibiotics at the first sign of fever rather than strengthen their immune systems with a healthy and varied diet?
Do we really need to eat meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner when industrially raised animals are full of diseases and growth hormones? Vegetables can be grown vertically, either with natural sunlight or artificial light.
No one is saying let's move into the caves, that's a strawman argument. Let's just stop, take a breath and fucking think about what we're doing. Capitalists extract resources out of this Earth without any thought about the environment or the future, we need to be better than that.
Bonobos are social animals and hierachies have a small role in their life, usually the smartest animals have low degrees of hierarchies.
1. I am against rationalization, it just makes human activity like a quantifiable thing devoid of creativity. It imposes a performative iron cage, since that logic of rationalization has extended to culture and human behavior.
Check Max Weber:

2. About Democracy, it's only a Democracy, if the people have a say on the laws being presented, a system which gives every 4 years absolute power to some person to make any law he wishes is not democratic. That implies a fear from the masses, like if the masses could have actual power over legislation then bad laws would be approved. Although, our actual system of representative republic is a proof by itself that it is a failed system. Ex: In the USA the laws approved by congress have no relevance on public opinion:

Another reason why economic efficiency is bad is that it serves a market economy based on the principle of infinite desires of consumers in a planet with limited resources, which is also being destroyed by climate change. The economy shouldn't be based on high production but instead a self-sustainable logic.

On global problems, you can have federations to manage global issues, a global federation for each trade and scientific community.
