It seems like the only Socialist option. Anything else is pointless protectionism. Still, if I were European I'd want to secede.

proof that ML just cant be realistic

False dichotomy really.

"Capitalism or Capitalism" is the question. It makes no difference in the grand scheme of things whether we are on paper part of an EU or not, we are still necessarily engaged in global capitalist economy and will operate within the logic of that framework just the same either way.

I like single currency and roaming freely around europe. So I would stay

ML pls go.

If accelerationism is bad, why have almost all socialist revolutions happend in poor countries??

There's already like 5 threads about this

...

Austrian economics tankie style.

Poverty can be a good stimulant (you have nothing to lose anymore), but the main reason was that in those countries people are not as brainwashed by capitalist and specifically neoliberal ideology. In the west most poor people believe in capitalism, and if they blame someone it's corruption by few bad apples, or even evil communists pulling the strings from the background.

What about what happened to Syriza?

No because the EU has given us workers rights, improved the environment and kept peace in europe for 70 years.

Is there any reason European countries should remain in the EU when they're getting fucked over?

Used to be a video on the UKIP closed group on social media explaining how there's thousands of laws for a toothbrush. A fucking toothbrush, not to mention the vote stay shitheads are lying through their teeth and claiming that voting out will get rid of their vacation (nevermind the fact that British laws allow for longer vacations than the EU).

The state is a shit, but smaller nations are healthier nations.

It makes a huge difference depending on if you're an anarchist-style socialist or a big state socialist.

Seen the EPA in the USA?

That'll be you in a few years.

You're joking, right?

Nigga what chu talkin' bout? Dats some free & delicious ass Tang!

Further evidence that the population of Holla Forums consist of edgy 15 year olds.

All the fucking european states are turning against each other because everyone else is ruining europe but themselves, it's a main cause of the rise of nationalism.

what matters is the narrative that drives one country's exit from the EU. If the push is from the right, you may as well remain in.

europe is just being europe, this thinking didn't change much for the past 4000 years

Yes, but unfortunately a lot of "leftists" automatically equate exiting the EU with fascism just because *some* right-wingers (not necessarily even from their own country) are for it. I'm not joking, that's actually the responses I've got.

In general a lot of the "left" today is basically just a hysterical reaction to anything the right wants to do, so in the end it's mostly made up of liberals that call themselves "left" but don't want much to change.
The distinction between right and left is mostly useless anyway, it makes more sense to distinguish today between liberalism, communism/anarchy and fascism, with hostility between them equally distributed. And our main enemy today, the one that dominates, is not fascism but technocratic liberalism. The fear of fascism is most of the time propaganda for technocracy ("let the experts decide, everything else is dangerous populism") and the free market ("if everyone just follows their selfish petty economic interests fascism can't arise again"). And I'd much rather fight against the fascists in the resulting civil wars than to keep living under this system, no matter how much of its security it tries to push down my throat.
