This is par for the course for BioWare sadly. Over the past few years they have let themselves become infected by cultmarx to a far great extent than any other developer, and they aren't afraid to show it.

However, this ain't a huge concern because at the end of the day, making video games is a meritocracy and victim-based ideologies will always lose out to the norm. They only got to this point by worming their way into something that was already successful and taking it over by forcing others out by force or by disgust.

While their last game, Inquisition, did pretty well (like 4 million copies sold), that was largely due to it being the only RPG of note on the new consoles at the time, as well as the huge volume of unearned praise it got from journos, with a bunch of GOTY awards given to it just a couple weeks after it launched. In reality, it dropped off the public radar pretty quickly after that, and now it's a distant memory after Witcher 3 came out and dominated it on every single front including sales.

With Mass Effect Andromeda, it's going to be a shitshow of immense proportions. Most of their talent from the old days that hadn't left after the first Mass Effect left in the past year or so, including the lions share of their top writers. The game has been in full development for over two years and in preproduction for longer than that, and yet at E3, they still couldn't even show off a proper gameplay demonstration. The full game likely needs two more years of costly development.

Add that into the massive marketing budget that game needs, which will need to be much bigger than a normal AAA game because they need to overcome the bad memories of ME3, and you're looking at one of the most expensive AAA games ever. We're talking 8-10 million units sold at $60 to break even.

Do you really think these people are up to the task of shutting up and making a game that is so great that it will blow past every other game BioWare has made? Even in normal circumstances, I would doubt it. But with these idiots, no chance.
