Does this privatization of space worry anyone? This has the potential to make a few people unfathomably rich - some asteroids could contain more rare metals than have ever been mined in the history of the world. Capitalism is starting to expand itself into space, and the longer it goes on, the harder it will be to reverse.
The old treaties used to say space was owned by all mankind collectively. Unimaginable resources lay out there. We cannot let a small group of people become a new aristocracy the likes of which the world has never seen through ownership of these resources.
Then again, a front company could easily be used to fund a revolutionary army…

If you're looking for other proletarian sci-fi Syfy's recent "The Expanse" is pretty prole. Basically the solar system is divided between the corrupt, bourgeois Earth, the liberal-democratic Martians, and the "Belters" that do all the asteroid/h2o mining and whose exploitation make the empires of both planets function. And of course how the supra-governmental corporations exploit all three for their own purposes

Though they're not really that active anymore AFAIK, the Association of Autonomous Astronauts was a group of anarchists and Marxists with the expressed goal of reclaiming space from the military-industrial complex and claiming it for the people. They gave themselves the deadline to build a spaceship in five years.
You could look at them as also being satire or performance art, but they raise some questions that aren't nearly talked about enough in leftist and anarchist theory.
