Is the Dark Web really worth it?

I've never been to the pits of hell people like to call the Dark Web. We, I, have been told about how it's a nasty place, full of child porn and torture videos and illegal activities. Is it really this edgy, dark underworld free from normies who are all too afraid to venture inside? Or is it more like a vast wasteland, with monsters popping up every so often when you head towards them?

It's literally a F.B.I. Honeypot now.

Are you being serious or just being dramatic so normies don't get any ideas?

...

Hey faggot, if you read what I wrote, I was asking if it really IS as scary as it's hyped up to be.

I don't think you know what that word means.

I'm not a national crime syndicate boss leader whatever, but it's not worth a damn until more people realize there are other kinds of crypto-currencies out there, and until more people are computer literate. And that literacy won't come until more people have a real world use for, and value, the potential of computers and internet and the inter-connectivity it offers. Just my opinion.

A Large number of people have money, and a large number of people seem to know little to nothing and car little to nothing about the deep web. I like to believe these large numbers are related. It's a long term investment.

stop watching videos of "10 worst sites found on the dark web" don't believe in that meme, there are worse things in the clearweb

Just out of curiosity, can you name a couple?

The govt literally took over and ran CP sites.

How is that not a honeypot you fucking faggot?

I've heard of human trafficking hidden in plain sight.
Like, they sell a vacuum and use codewords to hide that in reality it is a child.

Yeah, is there anything cool or interesting in the dark web? I'm not interested in cp, drugs, and torture. Is there anything that uses the architecture of the dark web to do anything novel and actually interesting outside of fulfilling the base desires of 1st percentile deviants? Is there anything that the dark web can actually do that the clear web can't apart from be harder to access?

Has anyone been to "xplay" on the dark web/tor? Is it a honeypot? It has like streaming video you can d/l. Seems fishy.

I don't want to argue semantics, but it is more like a sting operation if what you're saying is what they actually do. The honeypot is something different. I mean, unless things have changed and I'm just out of the swing of things.

I've heard people do that with selling drugs too. But the Deep Web is a little more expressive or open, so to speak, once you're there. Like, there's no hiding the acts with codewords unless you're operating a red room I'd assume. Or am I wrong?

Death Grips gave away an album for free in an ARG in the deep web some time ago.

Do not think so, but you can never be sure it is not. It has been around for a couple years now.
It is slow and the videos are shitty re-encodes.

I've only been to a few deepweb sites, namely alphabay. They're not spoopy at all, though it was funny how unashamedly people were trying to sell 20 kilos of cocaine for 80000 dollars. No, most deepweb sites are clones of clearnet sites, just these ones can only be accessed by 1337 hackers. Even the deepweb porn I found only allowed normie tier stuff like you would see on pornhub.

Deep Web: 10% evil, 90% hype

In 2017?
40% Hype
30% Downtime
20% Stuff that would be legal to host off tor
9.5% FBI / Interpol / NSA
0.4% Drugs
0.1% Actually interesting "darkweb-tier" stuff

Why don't you ask on reddit?

You can buy weed on the corner.

I know about the site but it is very slow. meh

anyone here remember toybox? i miss that site

I buy all of my weed from Hasna. Some great people there and its far better and cheaper than the street shit here. Sellers are very good about stealth.
