I see this topic touched on in a lot of threads, but I don't think I've seen a thread dedicated entirely to it.
>The most popular movies every fucking year are about comic books. Each new release is built up for years in advance, with trailer release dates being built up to.
This isn't just nerds either. While there was always DnD, comic book readers and Sci-Fi fanzines etc., they never dominated culture like they do now. For some time, but since 2007 in particular, it has become common that normies socially signal about how they enjoy forms of entertainment meant for children.
Personally, I've always felt that, aside from growing taller, we essentially stop developing physically at 15. Any further emotional maturity or stoicism from that point on is essentially a personal choice, but a choice fewer and fewer people are making.
This is state of constant adolescence was warned about for generations. Huxley made it the focal point of Brave New World, where the people of that society are encouraged to abdicate responsibility for their lives. The story even has its own version of DUDE WEED called soma, which keeps them pliant and eager to engage in the rampant debauchery.
This lack of responsibility also means people cannot form meaningful romantic relationships, and instead engage in debauched, meaningless orgies.
Even Simon Pegg, a massively pozzed faggoty actor/writer has commented on this, saying

He believes it's a conspiracy to prevent us talking about inequality or some shit, but given (((who owns the media))), that is supremely unlikely.
Another liberal faggot, David Mitchell, touches on similar themes in this video (youtube.com
I think a massive amount of our problems can be tied back to this refusal to grow the fuck up. How the fuck can we fix this? How can we make people grow the fuck up? How can we make being a pathetic manchild shameful again?
