I didn't like decide or feel like a girl tbh. My parents took to a shrink because I was constantly feeling melancholic/depressed/etc.. I tried treatment for just general depression, didn't seem to do much. My psychiatrist thought I might be trans about 8-9 months after I started seeing them. They talked to my parents, we decided to go on a bit further with therapy and so forth first. Then I went thru another year of therapy before starting hormones and working on "bein a grill".

I don't believe in the self-diagnosis trans trend. Crazy people shouldn't diagnose their conditions and prescribe their treatment. And before someone assumes/asks my psychiatrist wasn't jewish, and they were very conservative about going down the 'maybe ur trans' path.

So by and large they are supportive.

Had a Transgender student last year. "he" made NO effort to pass beyond binding "his" chest, looked (and joked about looking like) a butch lesbian, yet still got mad when people fucked up and called "him" by "his" proper gender.

I can understand wanting to be treated like another gender, but at least make the effort to look like someone of that gender at first glance, or don't be surprised when people get confused.

Back on topic, i remember i saw a website of this old man who was previously a tranny, but after years he regretted it, becoming aware that he was living a lie.
Now that he's back on dressing and living like a man, he created this website where he shares his experience and tries to convince people not NOT become trannies, even adding how much he wanted to talk about this subject on TV but (((they))) never gave him the chance, even being rude with him.
