Venezuela isn't socialist!

Venezuela isn't socialist!
It is state capitalist, +70% of the workers are in the private sector, and it failing because those businesses were focused only on the oil reserves.

Economists would disagree xoxo

...

I guess I don't really understand the argument being made. Are you criticizing the failure to diversify the Venezuelan economy or the particular percentages of state/private ownership?

This has to stop.

everytime

...

True. It's a banana republic welfare state.

The entire oil industry is owned by the government, how the hell does that qualify as "the private sector"?

There's hardly any private enterprise left in Venezuela.

Unlike countries like China, where the powers that be actually don't believe in Marxist bullshit and basically just use its rhetoric to bamboozle the plebs, Venezuela is a case of true believers.

Gotta love shopping in Venezuela. Nobody starves there because there are enough breadlines for everyone. In capitalist countries these people would've starved to death. Chairman Sanders was right.

Well shit, they could solve all their problems if they became full socialist then.

Mein gott, that mongrel in the purple shirt is hideous. Just think, if the Jews win then everyone will look like that.

They consider it still "private" even though it's regulated into absolute oblivion with price controls and all kinds of impossible to follow regulations.

When i say nobody starves to death in Venezuela i mean the people who are so desperate that they start stealing are swiftly beaten to death. Gotta love beating looters to death in Venezuela.

just gonna dump some more ass here

...

Good joke, they have supply shortages since the early 2000s.

...

"State Capitalism" is a contradiction in terms you fucking retard.

yeah wouldn't "State capitalism" mean "Socialistic state control of business/means of production" ?

this is completely false, venezuela did a much better job at supplying itself before chavez.

they nationalizedfarms: they went to shit
nationalizedsidor: haven't produced aluminum in 4 months.
nationalized biggest internet provider(though there are a handful tinier ones) and they turn it to shit to the point they haven't installed internet in homes for about 18 months because there aren't resources
-nationalized cadafe(now corpoelec) and electricity became unreliable.
-nationalized gas distribution business and now you have to bribe people to get gas or wait for months(I mean cooking gas, not car gas).
-I don't know if they nationalized water providing businesses or if they were nationalized before chavez, but they are shit and unreliable since this government.
-agroisleƱa changed to agropatria now doens't produce shit.
-fixed prices for goods so production halted(and of course arbitrary nationalizations didn't help either).

despite needing fucking oil to get most of their hard currency production has gone now since vompared to 1998(when chavez entered, when the barrel was 7$)

sure, things weren't perfect, but venezuela wasn't a kleptocracy and the concept of saving was still existant and we didn't have twice the murder rate of colombia at the time, they just came and took a fucking huge load of cash and turned our country into a turd with it.
