Pregnancy happens predominantly in low-class and uneducated peoples - thinking logically, it's okay for their children to be aborted if they don't want them; the children could be raised incredibly poorly and not have sufficient access to education or food as would be necessary.

I can't speak about it spiritually, as I'm not a Christian, but I can see the possible cultural moral degradation as a result of it - though I think it is ultimately insignificant. In many cases, abortion happens because the people who have created the child simply aren't ready to accommodate for it, and will in fact have a child later on in life regardless.

That simply isn't possible in our modern society. Sex has become something that is seen primarily for pleasure - though this is a bad thing of course, it isn't redeemable in the near future.
Likewise, modern society in no way can provide for teenagers or young adults to remove themselves from the sphere of the workplace in exchange for raising children at a young age - even if the man is working, he isn't making enough to provide for the family in most cases and, as such, they must rely on welfare or social programs to provide for them.

Abortion for non-medical reasons should go hand in hand with sterilization.

These are not people we want reproducing. They should be allowed to get an abortion and encouraged to do so.

Out-of-wedlock mothers should also be sterilized.
