I'm not a parent or even close to becoming one anytime soon but I hope to have children one day. And with a lot of the stuff posted on here I've become a bit creeped out if I ever have a daughter so I've been thinking that I want to keep her as safe as possible
Is it legal to put a GPS tracker on your own child? I'm thinking of giving her a bracelet/necklace for her to wear at all times. Or maybe put one in her earrings. Or tie a small GPS device to her shoe-strings so it doesn't bother her and typically kids will keep their shoes on until they come home
But is this legal, though?

It's probably legal. There's this thing they keep advertising called Hum, which is a GPS device that plugs into the car you let your teenager drive and tells you if they're speeding or if they go outside the area you've set for them. There's not much difference between that and something you stick in their backpack or on their person.
But who cares? Parents do illegal things to their children all the time. They are rarely caught or punished. Hell, I've had my daughter give me blowjobs about 3x per week since she was 7.

The cost of safety of my child isn't priceless but I would put up quite a high number down each month if it meant I knew of her safety. That is the same reason why I live alone in a shit apartment but pay ADT $300 a month to secure my house
