There was a Dredd story which starts off with him stopping a car at a random checkpoint. The guy has no licence. He scans the dudes microchip and reels off all the crimes he's commited and then says "You have three outstanding warrants. Driving without a licence is your fourth. According to the Megacity one penal code, the penalty for four outstanding warrants is…death." Then he shoots the dude.

There was another strip called Invasion 1999.
This had a bunch of white males leading an uprising against a communist invasion.

The prime minister of the communist occupation government looks like a jew.

I can't find the pictures but there are examples of European cartoons from the 60s that look exactly like anime a few years later. The cute aesthetic transcends any single company because it follows neotenous features. It's not "cartoonish" it's neoteny. Saying the "Disney aesthetic" or what have you is for convenience because it's so well known but the French had a bigger hand in it due to the popularity, certainly more than Americans. The Man in the High Castle adaptation is a good watch for this reason. The Nazi/Jap characters represent clear ideals, with strong family values, worth ethic and character. They're easily the only respectable role models in the show.

I thought Rorschach was right from the first time I read the comic. Reason being, prior to ever reading Watchmen, I read a poem by Percy Shelley called "Ozymandias". For any who haven't read it, it was a guy relating a story he was told by ANOTHER guy, about that guy's travels through a desert a long time ago. In the desert he saw a weather beaten stone with part of a stone leg protruding up from it and an inscription on it. The inscription was basically: "Hey bitches, my name is Ozymandias, best king of anything ever! You can tell how great I am by looking at all this sweet shit I had built. All you other rulers of the world are fucking losers compared to me, just look at my amazing kingdom!"

And as you looked around the destroyed statue, in all directions, there was nothing left but sand as far as the eye could see.

I always thought that Ozymandias from Watchmen was a callback to this poem. He was willing to sacrifice morality, to stoop to any low, in order to achieve a great good. In order to build a world without war he was willing to murder millions. Then, near the end, he asks Dr Manhattan if it was all for the best in the end, and Dr Manhattan basically tells him there is no such thing as the end. Life goes on and on, history continues. The ends don't justify the means because, really, there is no END to justify. Things just keep going.
