I guess what I'm saying is that it isn't very hard to change one's IP address every few seconds and start a new thread, so the limiting of threads to one per hour doesn't make much sense. In other words, I am coming around to your way of thinking on this subject. However, you will not get me to EVER want to suffer captchas per post for all! The exodus will really begin again then!

Im not saying captcha per post permanently, ONLY during times of siege by spammers. All other times Holla Forums is fine the way it is. Its just a part of life to occasionally have the board flooded. Luckily an entire thread can be deleted in a click or all form a certain IP. If the perpetrator keeps changing IP then that would be a siege so that would require captcha per post for a period of time.

I mean captcha per thread creation would even slow the spammer drastically

What's cool is that anyone can script it in any way with any language. Think about it. Could just just using it for Toxing, or you can write Ruby/Python/Perl scripts make into a Dropbox that's distributed and encrypted. Or a peer-to-peer distributed SSH thing with it. That's what is cool about Ratox.
