For instance, out of the three Kankers Marie seems most like the inventive type (which is why she's most often depicted as a mechanic in fanart), and with Double D being the builder of the three Eds he could teach her new ways to create things. Meanwhile, Marie is also more outgoing than Edd, so her influence could help break him out of his shell and stick up for himself more.

The thing about the show is that the Kankers aren't really focused on that much, and the episodes that DO pull them into the forefront (such as the ship in a bottle episode) are less about them specifically and more about the kids of the cul-de-sac reacting to their presence.

Still, the boat cruise episode and the school Valentine's special are pretty good as far as episodes the Kankers are heavily featured in.

A tip for using flood fill: when you select the empty area, expand the selection by 1-2 pixels before filling. This makes the grey around the lineart disappear.
