I make money writing erotica online and I use a pen name. Although when it comes to writing other stuff, most websites do require photos of yourself. You can always use fake ones, sadly I started submitting stories online when I was 19 and was too stupid to realize that putting my photo online was a bad idea. Although I will add this, if you're making a game and you have good art, you can do nearly what ever you want and make money with it. I write, and that's all I can do, so I have to go along with the trends more than an artist would have to.
