This movement is infiltrated by people looking for excuses to chimp out, but the teachers are cunts as well.
They are protesting because this educational reform would force them to do occasional tests, to see if they're up-to-date with their subjects, if they're not lazy fucks who waste the day in the teacher's lounge, etc. Last year, they had these tests, and they kept bitching about how due to some computers going tits up, they were suffering from extreme stress and fatigue.

I travelled by car last week and we had to take the shittier roads to avoid entering the hot zones, where people demand for tribute to let you pass, or if not they'll throw rocks at your car, beat the shit out of you and whatnot. They destroyed a couple of highway miles and blocked it with burning vehicles or trees.
Of course that it might be something else to it, but goddamn, it seriously affects trade and tourism here, there were shitloads of trailers waiting to advance to the other southern states, and the ones who carried livestock or poultry had to release them or dump them, as some of them died from hunger.

Haven't watched the movie, but it's bad. I'm from the border, so narcos run rampant. There's no police, so the ones patrolling are the Marines and the Army, but they don't give a shit unless you cut them off or get in their way, so you can speed like a motherfucker. You have to be aware of tire-busters if the narcos are running away, they cover the streets in this to get away from the Army and they can fuck your tires.

South of Mexico have their fair share of socialists. Unions are powerful, its people violent and backed by socialist politicians who are always telling them to not take shit from anyone, so destroying buildings or fighting with the police is an occurrence. The extreme South is nice, Yucatan is one of the calmer states and almost no narco influence because of a supposed treaty between then to leave Yucatan as a neutral zone. Quintana Roo is corrupt and has its share of child sex tourism and assorted kikery, thanks to its wealthy, touristic areas.

Probably the usual thing, tests are used as ways to evaluate teacher performance and not all teachers can get the best students, so some will get fired based on no fault of their own but that their kids are a bunch of dumb fucks.

Having traveled to a number third-world countries, I can definitively state that Mexico is right there in the midst of them. Not as dirty as India, but more corrupt, and more dangerous. It is spilling over the border into the US.

Teachers didn't teach me shit in school. I learned to read from my brother when I was 3, who then went on to teach me basic arithmetic. The only thing the teachers taught me was that middle aged women are the least empathetic group of people in the world and shouldn't be left alone with a group of 30 kids, because they don't care if you're actually learning or don't understand a topic or even if some of the nigglets in their class are eating glue, they're just there to hand out work sheets.
