First three season are safe. Four and five had quite a few duds and the jokes started going into tryhard territory. Avoid six and onwards like the plague.

It was always shit. But there are a few good episodes. Look between after stewie stopped being evil but before he started being gay.

seasons 2 through to 8 maybe 9 are worth watching. there is a peak and a noticeable dropoff from when family guy started stealing the AD writers in the later seasons.
