Who do you apply to, by the way? You might need to widen your net. A lot of companies will hire physics majors for jobs totally unrelated to physics. I know one physics/math double major that recently got a job in marketing.

Sales. Web development. Research positions. Forklift operatior. Crane Operator. Warehouse Store manager. Data Entry.

Having a "physics" degree and applying to be a manager or something unrelated tells them "Hey, this guy is smart and can do what we need" whereas applying for a job in the physics field with a low GPA just screams "this guy is bottom tier".

Here's a piece of advice: if all else fails, go back to some professors you knew from college and ask if there are any positions in labs or research positions nearby.

I went to school for a particular branch of engineering that required lots of overlap with physics majors. I have many, many, many friends in the field. You know what? Every… single… one… either got a PhD, is still working on a PhD, or works in a totally unrelated field that doesn't in any way require their degree.

A Physics Bachelors is as useless as a Womens studies Bachelors… UNLESS you are pursuing further education. Apparently wall street "may" hire Phys Majors for their logistical skill; but that really doesn't seem reliable; and there's always PhD's and Masters willing to take those jobs before a Bachelor… so yeah.
