What's the matter with Pale Moon? Works pretty well. There's a few Firefox addons that aren't compatible, but otherwise it's good to go. Well, the default home page has dev updates on it and sometimes they were a bit dramatic, whining about this or that, but it's easy enough to change a homepage.

The main dev is a furry. Also that fucking thing hadn't had 1080p support until recently.

QtWebEngine is not "full chromium" CEF is a lot closer to "full chromium" than QtWebEngine will ever be. And besides that qutebrowser is still using webkit, and working on support for webengine.

I used to use Safari for a long time because it came with the OS, all sites worked and I'm not an autistic ricer who needs to tweak the shit out of his browser. However, as my computer is getting older the performance of Safari has been getting shittier, so I switched to Iridium.

Chrome is botnet, so that was out of question and Firefox had worse performance than Safari. Iridium however has problems with video playback, a bunch of YouTube video either work or don't and other videos don't seem to work either. This one for example won't work, I have to use youtube-dl to download it first:

Qutebrowser currently uses QtWebKit 5.6.1.

The author set up a kickstarter to port it to QtWebEngine, but that's not 100% done yet, and he's keeping a QtWebkit-NG backend (so you can just choose which one you want to use).

As long as you stay connected to the internet, it's possible you never will. Go a while without it, though, and firefox will disable all of your add-ons and refuse to show them to you in the add-ons tab because they couldn't be verified. :^)
