What are you all doing for a career?

College isn't that important in and of itself, it's more a test of character and commitment that you can finish something that takes years of time.

Go to college, otherwise people will think you're a fuckup.

Fuck this noise, going to college just shows how good of a goy you are. It costs way too much money for how little real credentials it gives you, unless you go all the way and get a doctorates in some really technical field. If you can't get hired unless you have a degree its because your job market fucking sucks, move to another country.

I work for a mining company. 17 an hour and they pay for my college after a year as long as it pertains to the company. Which I intend to take advantage of to be safety coordinator at some point. Not a bad gig, good benefits as well. Plenty of hours and its not too hard of a job.

Hmm cool

Union pipefitter highest rate in the country is New York around mid 50s/hr

Hear hear

Ive been trying to get into the oil pipeline for years. I have all of the certifications from my time in the oilfield. However, a lot of those pipe companies require CDL's and such. Pays around 20-30 an hr in most cases with about 72-84-100 hrs a week which im used to.

For those dumb enough to not be part of one.

Come to Norway, work as a gas station attendant, earn 20$ per hour as a starting pay. I worked as a gas station attendant for two years. Had a pretty sweet apartment and could buy whatever shit I wanted, like games, food and beer. If you work somewhere outside the big cities, night shifts, there will be practically no people from 22.00 too 06.00. You can pretty much stand/sit around, fucking around with your phone all night. Trust me, I know.

College can suck a fucking dick, its an obvious scam at this point. Don't fall for the ducking meme kid.

Oh, but if you really feel like going, you can get become a registered nurse at most community colleges. Pays good, work anywhere, and stable as Fuck.

Good luck brew.

Unless you're exceptional, or retarded, going to college is a sign to the people who hold the shekels that you're not a retard

Gas station attendant is sweet af OP
Currently aplying for a job one about 10 miles from amsterdam, just enough people to keep it interesting but not enough to be busy
You will have trouble not falling asleep after a while though

Go for a college degree if you're looking for financial stability as you'll be making more money in the long run.
In the moment ye its gonna cost a shitton, but if you're frugal and actually fucking work instead of sitting around browsing shitty boards like Holla Forums all day, you'll be good.

Believe it or not you actually learn things in college in the field you want to major in, as long as you study for it, and care about wanting to know more. That is to say if we're talking about actual college and not community college, because community college is basically the place where all the high-school fuck-ups go to fix their GPA and shit like that, as most places that offer better education, would ignore your high school record and pay attention to what you did in community college. Hell, depending on your state, community could even be free.

billionaire. If you get the job, you might not need to go to school. Might

1.) Fluffer for gay porn

Ok, here's the thing. While in last year I didn't see any point in college. So much redundancy of information. Useless.

Until I got hired and found many people without college( at least in their line of work) that didn't make it. They slowly fell behind mostly because everything was new. Sometimes just by knowing about existence of stuff, may help you a lot, because when you need it, you at least know where to look for it.

One other thing to mention, in some countries you will get bigger salary just because you have college. I get 16% off of my taxes. Also banks will give you bigger loans. Just because I put that college on my CV, I get a lot of attention from employers. And I don't even have my degree.

Everybody knows it's a scam. But with it you can do stuff you otherwise couldn't. And the trash can can't throw garbage at you. Most important, you can make it anywhere, more or less.

That does add up, but what about us who grew up broke? Im white as the driven snow and nothing good ever happened for me. I worked my ass off to get where I am, I have no HS education, No GED and still have a 4 bedroom home (converted the garage to a 5th). Lifes what you make it. Ive maybe taken 2 loans in my entire life due to advice of my ex wife, bad idea, happened none the less. Yet here we are. Im here because I have 7 days off with nothing to do cause the kids have fucked off and the bitch is at work. Youre not wrong, but in some cases, like mine, you are. Not even bad mouthing the opinion, just… shit man, it doesnt work like that.

you don't deserve a good job if you don't have higher education and or aren't willing to work very hard. my suggestion would be if you're late teens/early twenties would be to go in the military and save all your money and invest (house, stock ect) it until they kick you out or you can't take it anymore. if you make it to 15 years it's partial retirement and 20 it's a full pension. could be different situation outside USA entirely
