Holla Forums was touted to nearly half a billion normies through the BBC and Time and the site traffic has remained roughly stable. So you can't blame the exposure.

Jim and co are trying very hard to convert public perception of Holla Forums as a pedo site into Holla Forums as a beacon of the alt-right. In fact they wish to instrumentalise a cranky image board as a political tool to influence us domestic politics, gain proto-fascist users and start to make money from a more clearly defined userbase.
In this project, Holla Forums is the naughty kid that the host wishes would shut up. The mods were forced out in favor of egg stuffing self-harmers and the content has gone from bad to quite unbelievably terrible. It's fair to assume that this is by design rather than coincidence, since Holla Forums as the traditional gateway to a chan detracts from the visibility of Holla Forums.
As for where now?, well there is nowhere else that has a userbase and the chaotic freedom of 4/Holla Forums in their prime. They are all either dead, pedo or cucked.
