Ideally it needs to be supported, just werk out of the box, have newish packages and no systemd. Am I asking the impossible?
It worked fine except it only allowed use of 1 core for some reason + packages were older than the sun. is this usable yet and does it werk out of the box?
Slacko Puppy Linux. It's Slackware based, so no systemd. It's made for old as fuck computers, but it has 32 bit and 64 bit versions. It's repository is a bit small but it supports anything that you can install on Slackware.

I tried Slacko not long ago, no problems with it except packages being sparse and everything feeling a little dated (imo).

If you can't do that then you're retarded, not fit to run a real distro, and deserve systemd.

If you're such a pussy, then you can install Sabayon and switch to OpenRC. It probably shouldn't be TOO hard.

Their cert has expired again?
Colton Ross
No, but it did awhile ago and people post screencaps of their (admittedly) stupid solution as a means of discrediting the distro as a whole.

gentoo is extremely difficult to install, when I try it, it comes to a blank screen and I have no idea what to do and what commands are necessary.
