Nigger, the only finance jobs that are tedious but easy number crunching are low level accountants who rarely make more than 50k, analysts on Wall Street have to have 4-6 years of applied mathematics education and learn stochastic calculus and usually learn a programming language or two if you are getting into quantitative analysis. Law and medicine also require serious analytical rigor, in addition to the enormous memorization requirements, which aren't exactly trivial either, don't downplay the immense challenge of any of those fields.
