Hotwheels gave up control of the site to Jim and his programmer son, CodeMonkey. CodeMonkey actually is fixing the site and it works now. Since this happened some months ago, traffic has been steadily increasing. By my estimations I can see the average posts per week reaching 500k by the end of the year, which is about where it was at its peak.

Traffic may have increased, but the quality of that traffic has decreased significantly. Holla Forums has continued to get "refugees" from 4chan, but they're not people who left 4chan because of any convictions, they're just people who've gotten banned. So Holla Forums has become more like 4chan, only a 4chan that runs less well.

The downfall became inevitable when Hotwheels became IRCwheels before finally becoming Pigfeedwheels.

The code is being fixed and the site is better than ever stability / feature wise.
