Man Im watching this movie and feeling super sad. Because I guessed (And was correct) that it would be incomprihensible to most audiences.

This is like the last 2D animated film to be released in theatres in the scale that it did for at least another 10 years or so.

I didn't even think about that. Only people who watched the show or played the games would really understand everything in it.
I hope it didn't actually do that badly in theatres, but knowing the average moviegoer, they probably passed it up for some shitty comedy.

He's a failed attempt at giving Yugo a voice of reason/big brother figure, where he should come up as more rational and mature than Yugo he ends up being an annoying little cunt

He spent most of the series being an impotent jobber who just got kicked around a lot and never really grew as a character.

Then his character developed into the whiny babysitter and only got worse when he turned into the nay-saying faggot in the OVA who told Yugo "if you try and stop Ogrest from destroying the world, you might destroy the world!"

And he became such a salty faggot after that he went and joined a bunch of fucking shady villains.. How are we supposed to empathize with a guy who is less relatable than Nox and Qilby?

You'd think that if he was Yugo's brother figure, he'd stick by Yugo despite his misgivings.

I think Adamai is progressing perfectly.

He always was an entitled brat who couldn't see the bigger picture, and he allows his arrogance to swallow himself.

The MMOs are a mixed bag. Wakfu has been overhauled so many times that there's barely anyone left playing.

Krosmaster is neat, but it's a strange game to get people into.

I got into Wakfu during High school, while the first season was still airing
The games themselves, Dofus and Wakfu weren't that fun for me tbh, I prefer Dofus over Wakfu but still, it felt… slow
The setting and the lore however are a different story, it's full of charm and interesting stuff, the sense of humor that it has it's quite nice, it doesn't take itself seriously

To me he always looked like some sort of a puppet that was brought to life by magic and I was looking forward to his backstory, but it turns out he's just a boring normal kid. Except completely black for some reason.

He looked white in the flashbacks, maybe because of the dragon residing inside of him changed his color…

So you've got a guy who is already at the top of his game to begin with.

Then, after some serious shit happened.. He ate all 6 Dofus, which are essentially fragments of the power that created the Krosmoz.

Most people can barely harness the power of one of them. He's got all 6, making him such a badass that not even the Gods can defeat him.

Are there no chapters touching the subject? I saw the ova where he got defeated and puked the dofus.

I don't mind the new design really, he's obviously supposed to look kind of unsettling. You know this season is going to end with him being redeemed, but I do hope Yugo can actually kick his ass a bit first, hopefully while explaining just how insanely retarded he is.

Unfortunately, it's written into the lore that Yugo stays a child as long as he's alive. That COULD change due to magic shit in season 3, they might just not want to show that to us in the trailer.

Finally got around to watching the Dofus movie, liked it a lot. The animation is fucking phenomenal, the fights are really good, and I was pleased to see the final confrontation didn't devolve into generic shonenshit like Wakfu tends to. Everything involving Joris and lolidog is great, I actually teared up a bit when Kerubim died, it hit me especially hard since I watched all of Dofus in preparation. However, I feel like the rest of the supporting cast was kind of weak. I couldn't give any less of a shit about the Iop or the shoehorned in romantic element with Bakara, who I also found to be rather annoying as a character, though that doesn't necessarily mean she's badly written. It didn't help that the post credit scene effectively murdered their development for no reason other than to end on a joke. The film also desperately needed an epilogue to help tie things up, I want to know what Joris is going to do now that the film is over.

Other than that, I was surprised that we actually got to see quite a bit of blood and even more lewd than usual. The film was surprisingly dark, and I really liked that.

Why does Adamai hold such a grudge over Yugo using the Dofus? I mean, sure, Adamai was right about the danger, but at least Yugo managed to clean up his own mess. He's right to be pissed, but after a while, he should just get over it.

He still managed to send the island into not-Hell, though, so there wasn't too much damage, unless there were a couple towns that got decimated offscreen from the smaller asteroids. Yugo may have been stupid, but things turned out okay. He still deserves a nagging from Adamai, though.

In the hands of competent writers a rain of meteors that'd require the Sadida to all pile in to protect the tree of life would be a world-spanning disaster on a par with the potential second flood Ogrest might have unleashed. But if Ankama had competent writers they wouldn't have pulled bullshit like having all six of Ogrest's dragon buddies show up but only three of them ever do anything.

I don't know if it's always been the point, but it definitely feels like the direction now. Originally I think Adamai was supposed to be the older, wiser, more practical foil to Yugo's idealism. Sadly rather than actually joining the crew and going on adventures with them to properly develop he was shoved off to the side and jobbed around by every villain who crossed his path. Leading to a perpetual state of butthurt.

I don't much care for the OVAs in general, but I really hope they flesh Adamai's sudden turn on his allies a bit. It just seems really hamfisted and shallow right now. I'm sure he'll be redeemed or whatever, but it needs to be something they consistently come back to and expand upon.

Well the Dofus movie relies heavily on having previous knowledge of the universe's story, characters, and lore. If you haven't watched both Dofus and Wakfu, maybe delved into the lore a bit, you'd probably be pretty lost.

I don't imagine many French Critics, let alone any critics, would have bothered to do something like that.

Yugo also fucked by altering history when using the dofus in the fight against Ogrest he briefly opened a portal to the Dofus game era and the people watching him fight Ogrest through the portal deified Yugo creating the Eliotrope (not Eliatrope) race.
