If all the judges in Oklahoma just decided to ignore the Supreme Court's precedent, then there'd be nothing the Supreme Court could do about it, since they have no enforcement wing. As I recall, president Andrew Jackson once ignored a Supreme Court decision, and said to them something along the lines of, "you and what army?". So if we had more people like that with balls of steel, then a tiny group of elite Jews & Catholics on the Supreme Court wouldn't be able to unilaterally decide huge sweeping issues like abortion, gay marriage, etc.

There's letters wherein several of the Founders were discussing the notion of interpretation of the Constitution, and they came to the conclusion that the Supreme Court has no special right to decide what the Constitution means… each of the three branches has equal power to interpret the Constitution. The problem is just that the Congress and the President have both given up on interpretation and left it up to the Supreme Court, but there's no good reason for them to do so.

My original point was that the SC has no special right to interpret the Constitution, nor does it have any enforcement powers like the other two branches of government do. Which means that if the Congress or President decide to actually start using their right to interpret the Constitution as they see fit, then they can actually enforce their interpretations, while the SC can't. Courts are there to deal with individual cases, that's the whole point of a judicial branch in the first place. The idea of using "legal precedent" to create de facto law is bullshit, and can simply be ignored by the Congress and/or President if they ever decided to grow the balls to do so.
