Why don't porn websites support https...

Why don't porn websites support https? Seems like precisely the type of website in which users would like a minimum degree of privacy.

Porn sites exist as a vector to infect computers via flash exploits

Because people that run porn sites don't give a fuck about their users and just want to make a quick buck.

1. They don't care about their end users
2. They are trying to make as much money as cheaply as possible, https certificates are expensive

The government comes down hard on any Porn site that uses https, because they like to collect data on citizens (and non-citizens) porn browsing habits.
This data is later used to blackmail dissidents and foreign enemies.
It is also sometimes used to blackmail innocent foreigners into becomes assets for the CIA, where they are pressed into doing extremely high risk tasks in countries where they will be tortured and executed if caught, and they often are.

https everywhere extension for FF or Chrome.

the sites are probably really old an integrating SSL would be a pain. Plus they don't take CC info so it's not really a big deal

That's the kind of brain dead answer I'd expect from a Windows cuck. OP probably already uses it. This is Holla Forums, after all.

Https isn't even an option for most porn sites. That's clearly what OP meant when he said, "Why don't porn websites support https?" It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes level of deduction to see from his wording that he's already tried to use https on porn sites, but it's never supported.

TL;DR, Lurk moar faget

The same documents are probably posted on The Intercept.
As in
Do those names ring a bell? If they don't, you are probably a fucking tremendous retard.
In addition, the documents are fucking posted right there for you to read, you dumbfuck neanderthal.

So do any exist?
https porn when

From this article (archive.is/ASMrq for people who don't want to give garbage tabloids a click), it proves only the bolded parts:
>The government comes down hard on any Porn site that uses https, because they like to collect data on citizens (and non-citizens) porn browsing habits.
>This data is later used to blackmail dissidents and foreign enemies.

Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is nhentai.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clandestine_HUMINT_asset_recruiting#Targeting_recruits_based_on_intelligence_information

Also, the fact that you think that they're somehow above using intelligence to turn people into assets, when they fucking blackmail dissidents and foreign enemies with that intelligence, as documented, means that you're simply delusional.

Either way, you got your citation. Now fuck off. It's reality.

letsencrypt
they are literally free now

betterfap.com works with imgur, gfycat, and tumblr. the videos don't work due to mixed content warnings

not sure why pornhub doesn't work on there, since it supports ssl in embeds (though not the main site)
pornhub.com/embed/336418680

JUST

youtube -dl should work with most of the video sites directly bypassing any restrictions.

Because they do not give a fuck about privacy, this is pure money business.

BTW, Stripchat does support https.

change
youtube.com/watch?v=abcd12345
to
youtube.com/v/abcd12345
and it won't ask

I seriously fucking love youtube-dl

Your question implies that you use streaming sites. Therefore...
kys

https does not improve your privacy since someone can still see the unencrypted header and know your gay furry favorite site.

https exists to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.

Because degenerates deserve to be hit by all exploits possible.

only if you're using a site like gayfurryporn.com and it's not on a shared server
if you're searching generictubesite.com for "mexican midget thousand island dressing" then thanks to ssl it's completely private; known only to you, the site, the tracking companies and all their paid affiliates

people can see you're on reddit but not that you're on /r/spacedicks.
actually i just checked and they don't use ssl on imgur links so anyone on the same LAN could see that
better example: they can see you're on 8ch.net but don't know if you're on Holla Forums or /hebe/

no one's on /hebe/ anymore

The extension that sends the domain as part of the handshake can be disabled.

Indeed everything after the domain name is encrypted when the connection is HTTPS, since that part of URLs are how browsers communicate with websites.

yt-dl + mpsyt + mpv is truly a miracle

Does this not require flash?

It's redundant since you're already using tor or some VPN or some shit if you care about your privacy. All HTTPS would do is hide *which* pages "you" view on a particular website from the exit node or proxy, if we're pretending X.509 ever worked.

these days jewtube will usually just play the vid without flash, and you can just right click and save on the video (you might need to disable sites from fucking with your context menus etc), im not sure if they even have flash anymore

huh i think i was just on some https porn the other day... if you really care just use i2p or something instead of shitty websites filled with pictures of dicks everywhere

Actually, one concern here might be malware code being injected from porn website to the exit node.

Many porn websites use Flash too, so I don't imagine this would be difficult.

There's an Addon called J-downloader I think, and its used by freetard to download videos to watch offline instead of streaming.

Because when my dick is hard, I don't care about security.

youtube-dl is superior.

HTTPS doesn't make you more secure, it only ensures that whatever is traveling over the network isn't read by a third party. Most people don't care if you like normalfag-tier porn.

i don't care

good point

that's because of reduced blood flow to your brain

he didn't say anything about security, he was talking about privacy

Isn't only porn sites, it's about many sites... There is a extension to force https, but only a few sites has support.

This, even before they went free most porn sites were selling private data and CC numbers from its users, you think they aren't doing that now when they aren't even charging anymore?

Could be fun to setup and see how much traffic we could stand with minimal infrastructure Holla Forums compliant porn site before we would run into unsurmountable issues on any front. Anyone interested in this? Any speculations as to what would be the killing blow?

I would suspect more juridical problems on the content, there is money to be made so lawyers are not so far away.
For video streaming even a cock box should have enough BW for the first people, given that we use good encoding ...

Still would be an interesting project.
How would you name it, and general logo thread now ;^)

Yeah legal problems would first come to my mind too, perhaps cultivating / actually having the service in darknet like tor/i2p could be a good start (don't know any standard porn websites in there so no competition either)

As i'm from Holla Forums i don't have much more than codenames for what they could be; generally divided into 3 main subsections:

- solemnos -

Some ideas to get started:

- Support for:

-does not use:

Propably that, everyone has an opinion and hates every language. But past that this group of neckbeard autists can easily the gear to 11 to get the every last drop of performance. Overall if the idea is to just serve content as efficiently as possible no problems on that front. Legal would propably be the first thing. Also quality control, how would that be managed beyond a very small site?
