It has come to my attention that presidential candidate Donald Trump has announced his opposition to pornography. He plans to crackdown on child pornography, try to stop kids from watching porn, and try to address the issues of porn addiction. I have not thought about nofap or quitting my porn addiction in awhile, but now that Trump has announced this, it has motivated me to quit. Let me explain some things first.
The US has no clear cut definition on what "obscene porn" is, and instead relies on "community standards" of obscenity, and hypothetical "reasonable adults".
Even if you're not into kinky shit, Trump is essentially saying he will let normalfags decide what you can and cannot fap to, which means they can ban pretty much anything they want, if Trump decides to honor this pledge.
The UK's obscenity laws and South Korea's obscenity laws have already been abused to ban out categories of porn they deemed inappropriate for public consumption.
Categories such as "spanking", or "female ejaculation"(?).
What's to stop it from happening in the US?
This is NOT about CP.
CP is tacked on to mask the "OBSCENE PORNOGRAPHY" part of the pledge, essentially making opposition to this pledge guilty of opposing anti-CP laws, which is a cheap tactic.
The CP part of the pledge is fine, but it's merely there to hide what the pledge is actually meaning to say.
