Feminist Victory!

The co-star of House of Cards, famed actress Robin Wright, found that she was getting paid a mere $420,000 a show, while unknown actor Kevin Spacey was raking in $500,000.

Robin wouldn't stand for such blatant discrimination, so she demanded that she get paid as much as Kevin whoever-he-is….

A triumph for feminists everywhere!

That whole show is a dull piece of shit. The actor who plays the president of Russia should get paid the most if any of them should get paid at all. That guy carries the whole show, the rest of them are terrible.

To lazy to go in depth but:

Robin Wright has won:
0 Oscars (Never even nominated for one)
1 Golden Globe, nominated for 3 others
3 Emmy nominations
BAFTA: ???

Kevin "Nobody" Spacey:

Won 2 Oscars
1 Golden Globe win, 7 Nominations
4 Emmy nominations
1 BAFTA win, and 3 nominations

Let's just get to the overall now that we counted the most important ones:

Robin "Muh Vagina" Wright: 11 Wins and 45 Nominations

Kevin "Who's That Again?" Spacey: 54 wins and 73 nominations

Yeah. They deserve exactly equal pay.

She should be fucking embarrassed to brag about this, LOOK AT MEE I'M SO RICH TEE HEE HEE

Also 90% of people tune in for Kevin Spacey. Nobody ever said "Hey did you see that new show Robin Wright is in?" except smug cunt feminists.

Isn't this a good thing for people who refute the wage gap myth then? One of the biggest things about the wage gap issue is that women don't tend to negotiate their wages, thus dropping their average earnings down. Whether or not this woman deserves equal pay to Spacey is one thing but she has now gone and proven that a woman can certainly earn as much if she's willing to put her balls on the table so to speak.

I guess women are really that blind. Not one person in 10,000 knows her name on sight, yet Spacey has almost 100% name recognition. And she still feels she's owed equal money. You can't argue with this level of stupidity. Hopefully the producers tell the writers to send a bullet through her character's brain.

This simple story sums up feminism.

Wealthy, entitled white woman Robin Wright is complaining that she is not making as much as Kevin Spacey, one of the more famous actors of our time. Meanwhile, she's making $420,000 and 84% of what he was, which if anything is still way too high a proportion for her.

I don't know this actress for shit, so I looked her up on IMDB. Her most famous role was Jenny, the love interest of Forrest Gump. I wonder if she felt she should have made as much as Tom Hanks for that film.

The first few episodes were kind of interesting in terms of watching a Machiavellian politician, then the whole thing got really silly with him personally murdering people, etc..

One interesting comparison is how often you see Kevin Spacey/Frank Underwood gifs online. Has anyone ever seen one of her character?

There are 1,000+ actresses out there than an do her role just fine and no one would notice the difference or care. The audience watches the show because of Spacey - that's where the revenue comes in.

She is a a forgettable face and a mediocre actress and no one gives a shit if she's in that role or not.

The highest paid actors should be shitting themselves over this. It's going to be much harder to negotiate when everybody has to be paid the same.

Will we be seeing more b-rate actors now as in no more Brad Pitts?

Do the following: Google "Claire Underwood" go to Images and witness the depth and range of the actress playing a VERY complex character.

Seriously. Do it.

I think when people told her her characters' name is Underwood she thought "my performance has to be the most wooden thing ever seen on screen".

Being a woman sure is suffering

A few seasons in, her name started showing up during the opening with a producer credit. That's around the time that her character made a grab for power, and the show generally went downhill. Hmmm, probably just a coincidence.

Only 420k a episode? How dare she get paid so little for such important work. We should talk to some lazy working class people and see if they can't raise another 80 k for this abused and honestly overworked woman. Lets start by asking the nurses and firefighters to pitch in, do they really need all that money they have laying about?

I think it is most important in that it shows a woman playing the feminist card in getting equal pay when there is an enormous difference in natural talent and name recognition.

With both House of Cards and Forrest Gump, you have a good but run-of-the-mill actress starring opposite film legends and riding off of their abilities.

Video of Spacey doing impressions.

How is the patriarchy keeping her from that extra $80k? She's calling the producers out as sexist conspirators, hell bent on keeping women underpaid because they're women… her innocent, ineffective agent/manager a warrior for women's rights.

Her character must die. Or maybe it already died, and this is why she's going full-retard now.

the frontier of women's suffering in the world right now is an actress with a 5 digit paycheck not getting as much as another actor with a 5 digit paycheck ?

Kickstarter for that extra $80,000. In the name of women ever where.

The producers fucked up, they were already over paying her due to pussy pass, and some virtue bullshit, 'Oh look this nobody gets almost the same as Kevin Spacey, aren't we progressive'.

She of course could never understand this, and thinks she is being oppressed and she is equal to the man who cashes her 420k with his lifes fucking work as the guarantee of it's currency.

They should have paid her 100k from the start, then maybe throw her 250k when it went well.

Its the only way we can right this horrible injustice.

I did it, and you're right. She plays her role one-dimensionally. I made it through the whole first season, the only really memorable scene I can recall of her was when she was talking to the guy in the hospital bed, and that was memorable because of the writing, not because she was such a multi-faceted actress.

The best example of the failure of her character from that season? It made absolutely no sense that suave & successful photographer guy was so in love with her. She wasn't particularly attractive, nor did she have some sexy & intriguing personality.

This is a spit in the face for Spacey, he should drop out.Too bad his contract was probably done by some shekel grabbing kike and covers this

I wish it was her that got thrown infront of the train and not Zoe.

I stopped watching after that. It was not only silly in terms of Spacey's role, but Kate Mara is cute and even a better actress. The Asian actress who worked for Claire's charity is also better at acting than Robin Wright.

I actually like Robin Wright in many of her films, but she's joking if she thinks she should make the same as the man who effectively sells the show.

Feminism takes another one.

This this bitch just become an actor after her sister or was she always in acting?

Feminism has always been for rich women

Everyone watches that gay ass show for Kevin Spacey.

Nobody watches that shit for this cunt.

Next thing you know they'll have to pay the girl who cleans the toilets the same as the CEO of the company.

Whats wrong with you guys

Look at her glasses, she's an INTELLECTUAL!!!!!

Poor Forest, meanwhile he was fighting in Vietnam, losing his best fucking friend and saving 4 of his wounded comrades in arms.

Jenny was a fucking stoner marxist pacifist hippie.

Yet, He still loved her.

If you are talking about her sister, she was the one in acting first.

Btw, the Youtube video has a good lesson, where she says that she was threatening the studio by saying that if they didn't pay her more, she would go public, and presumably create some Twitter SJW controversy that nobody would give a fuck about.

However, by saying it there, she was making it public. So they got nothing by simply giving in.

If something like this caught on, we would see an increase in

1. animation
2. more male-centric TV shows, which would be a big step forward. How much better would shows like Breaking Bad or The Sopranos have been without the obligatory family shit, or at least much less of it?

Forest as a metaphor for the everyman in so many ways - as brilliant as he was he was still a complete fucking retard when it came to his imagination about what is love. Got completely fucking cucked by this bitch, even in her death.

Kevin Spacey is why people originally started watching the show. Netflix even made a big deal about how they cast him as the lead using their customer data to figure out the most popular actor in these kinds of settings. Robin Wright is great and gives me an insane hard on in the 1st season, but she isn't drawing people to the show. Spacey is.

Bloody hell. This event is a great summary of the equal pay jewry. She shouldn't have even been getting 84% of his pay like she was.

Thanks for digging up those stats.

10/10

Stopped watching after the first season

Season 4 spoilers ahead.

These anons are wrong. The show is crap but the performances are great and her character is anything but one dimensional. Over the course of the show she shifts ambitions, flounders with regret for most of her decisions, and moves between various fake personas designed for different audiences - her employees, her staff, the public, other politicians, and not least among these her husband.

As she comes to regret her ultimate station as First Lady, she falls out with her husband, but then later makes what may be a strategic decision to rejoin with him - or it may be sincere. As this progresses she goes from being a secretive but loyal wife and friend to being more and more false with him, until briefly her pleasantness with him is indistinguishable with her public persona. If you made it to the end of season 4 you may or may not suspect she intends to betray him.

It's worth noting that she has directed several episodes, In these she sometimes appears to misunderstand the scene or specific lines in the scene, and to me it's evident that she needs someone else's direction. But when she has it she's pretty damned good.

I wonder how much she's getting paid for directing, and if the lower fee for her acting is meant to offset this.

In any case, this show is literally 24 for women, and watching the whole thing was a mistake, but not because of the acting.

The enemy of every feminist: Logic

She was getting paid the same nearly as one of the biggest Actors in the world, she was overpaid from the start.

Why are they making a big deal out of this? It's called salary renegotiation, or "asking for a raise".

Everyone with a job has done it at one point.

God. Tell me this is a joke.

...

that movie will always make me rage, I fucking hate that filthy fucking slut jenny, at least she never went full niggerlover, but she was scum

G I B S

No idea, but for starters you don't go on national television and exclaim to the whole world that. It's like your boss giving you a raise at work and then you go around the office bragging to everyone about it, it's extremely poor ethics and in most cases will just alienate you and make everyone hate you

Actually, now I'm thinking the (((journalists))) just bend the story to make her out to be a symbol of feminism. It happens all the time, especially with pop stars.

She makes a passing comment while negotiating her salary, saying "well, Kevin gets paid more than me." Or just one out of 100 of her talking points while negotiating is that oh yeah, and Kevin gets paid more than I do.

Next thing you know it's "ROBIN WRIGHT, FEMINIST ICON, SMASHING THE PATRIARCHY AND PAY GAP #SOBRAVE"

This is probably good. Force the kikes to loose shekels to empowered womyn. They don't want to be my soggy knees after all.

wimmenz, amirite?

...

Holy shit, you're right. A slut that comes back to beta bux when dying of AIDS.

Yep, that's feminism.

That hospital handjob scene is weird

She even convinced the simpleton that the baby was his. Gump got chucked with an AIDS/Heroin baby at the end.

This.

They could always bring in scabs.

I won't argue with you there. And it may have been a mistake on her part.

When you hire an actor you give them what they ask or decline, and that's based on what they are worth in the industry, which comes from what they have made on comparable jobs most recently.

What Wright has done is to bet on being worth this much to her next gig. That's a dangerous bet, because if next time around no one's willing to pay that much or more, and she has to accept less, it gives the appearance of her having peaked. It suggests her career is in decline and she will get lower and lower offers because of this, or even be avoided because why would you choose someone whose career is in decline over someone who is up and coming?

Of course things have changed in recent years and you've got actors making all sorts of weird comebacks. You could argue that's why we're discussing her at all.

...

That guy looks like a bobblehead

Spacey also works for scale since he is a Netflix investor IIRC

I agree, the more prominence given to Wright's character the less interesting the show has become. All she does is walk around looking like a bitch and I don't think that's a stretch for this actress. She is good looking though.

Don't all midgets?

Get moar Milos amiright?

Different actors get paid different amounts. Especially the actual leads and draw of a program. Of course Kevin Spacey is getting paid differently, let alone more. Fucking hell.

If you are talking about her sister, she was the one in acting first.

Thanks, user.

I only saw the first season. Maybe she gets more comfortable in her role or maybe the writing shifts to better accommodate her character. I will stand by what I said earlier that, for example, it made no sense that the successful photographer, who was an archetype of the dream guy for professional 30+ women, was so infatuated with her. She doesn't have that quality of allurement that can make even average women seem so captivating. You also didn't really understand why she would betray her husband's machinations over such a trivial slight. In this picture of three stars in the show, the other two are imho more effective in their roles, as you can understand what drives them forward.

Some actresses are amazing, especially in particular roles, and deserve every penny they get. Rosamund Pike had more to do with the success of Gone Girl than the much more famous Ben Affleck, because her acting was so good in it.

In any case, we could debate this forever, but I'm not seeing it.

There are maybe 6-7 shows in the first season that are quite good before it slowly falls apart with unanswered questions. One amazing scene is where Frank delivers the sermon in the church.

dailymotion.com/video/x18208i_house-of-cards-sermon-scene_tech

Watch the interview, she goes full feminists and describes the gender pay gap as a "pandemic."

Meanwhile, she thinks that she should get paid as much as Keyser Soze.

fuugggg

Getting paid half a million dollars to make pure propaganda.

Great times to be alive lads.

...

That's what cytu.be/r/uncleb is for newfriend

The worst part is that she extorted them by going "if you don't give me more money I'll go to the media about MUH PAY GAP" so they caved and then she went and did it anyway. What a rancid fucking cunt.

For a mere $80k 'House of Cards' is now on all the news sites while also being cheered by all feminists.

Those feminists will also gladly remember us how Robin Wright got her equal pay at the beginning of the next season.

Oh, and look at that:
"Wright was in New York promoting a documentary she co-produced (…)"

You are all good goys, you don't even see obvious marketing moves.

I skipped the race mixing bit but called it quits when they had the spacey main character be a homo and the hetero guard just go along with it.

yeah that sums it up and this was my entire reaction
who?
usual suspects
kapax
american beauty
superman even though it was shit he wasn't
Moon as not hal

shit I have seen a bunch of his movies and

thats what i was alluding to…

The fug is wrong with you advertising when we are at defcon2 shill alert

Reminds me of this.

>The worst part of House of Clintons Cards gets more money

Takes a lot of talent to make a white woman I hate worse than a coalburner I guess.

Robin Wright is best known for being the princess in The Princess Bride. I hope her acting has gotten better since then, but since I didn't even remember she was in Forest Gump, I doubt it. Robin Wright is second most well known for having married Sean Penn.

It's amazing isn't it? It's the exact same thing with the ghostbusters movie. People are getting played so hard by marketing departments.

instead of being a man with a wife walt could have been a widower would have been real interesting

Or keep the family stuff down to only a third or so of what it was, just to give an added dimension to Walter's character.

What was sad with The Sopranos is that the original intention was to give Tony's narcissistic, malicious mother a major role throughout the series, but Nancy Marchand got very ill, so they had to cut back her role. Her famous character was based on the show creator's own narcissistic mother.

Without Livia, they decided to instead focus on AJ and all of this other family bullshit that wasn't interesting and dragged down the storyline.

Lol nah, but it forces studios to rethink the cost effectiveness of women. Suddenly they pay more for less for each female cast. Men who are legit stars don't get special treatment to sign on to shit series.

Sometimes giving them what they want in bad bets is letting them overstretched their gains. Women have no concept of pyhrric victory, and overpaying their hand.

Studios are the enemy and having them squabble with feminist hostility is good and they may upend the kike infestation with the proper coaxing.

Sweet lord she hit the wall in full force. No wonder she's desperate and acting like a kike.

who?

We may begin seeing more great actors that are currently unknown because the same old actors keep getting all the roles. You know how many amazing actors never get there chance because Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, etc keep getting all the roles? Time for some fresh hungry faces.

Friendly reminder even Jodie fosters calling out SJWs
Let me remind you She made a carrier out of producing feminist Rape porn.
breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2016/04/21/jodie-foster-sick-sexism-hollywood-charge-no-big-plot-keep-women/

That is so ambiguous as to be meaningless. Who is she? There are two shes!

It would have been interesting, it's Father/Son, possibly the most interesting dynamic in Western Culture, they just had a fucking piece of shit script for AJ and he was basically a prop.

Robin Wright just killed her career. She's trying to Jew the Jew, and that never ends well.
