Blade Runna
Dunkirk
Covenant, already prepared for a failure

I don't really keep track of future movies though

Pirates of the Caribbean
Lego Batman

Oh boy I can't wait to see fifty thousand fucking sequels and reboots of shit I didn't like the first time.

I watched Hardcore Henry and The Nice Guys in 2016, and that was it because it was the only two movies that didn't look like I had seen them FIFTY FUCKING THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE.

Seriously fuck movies

Lego Batman
Dunkirk
Kong
Spiderman
Thor

Dunkirk, Blade Runner 2, Alien whatever and John Wick 2

Big Black Kong but only because of the poster.
Everything else is shit.

I forgot about that one.

Ow ow edgy rangers

...

Saw 8

no way that's real. you're bullshitting me right now. I know it.

its real

FaggOPt

FaggANONt

This one

How could they milk it any more? The franchise is dead and people are sick of it.

Absolutely nothing.

Skull Island was looking great on the first trailer, great homage to classic monster movies. But then came the second trailer and they showed the generic CGI monster and wacky comic relief side-kick for the main characters.

I completely lost interest.

You have to be older than 18 to shitpost here

Why?

Are you retarded?

Take a look at the quoted posts you dumb nigger

Legitimately looking forward to Dunkirk and Batman. But I'm also interested in fuckups like Power Rangers, Justice League, and Star Wars VIII. Pirates 5 will be forgettable and nobody will see it. I'm tossed up on Alien, Kong, and Planet of the Apes. MCU installments will be the same as usual.

You know you want to.

Is this live action or animated?

Live action.
Jennifer Lawrence as Applejack
Emma Watson as Pinkie Pie
Gary Oldman as Twilight Sparkle
Emma Roberts as Rarity
etc…

What does it look like?

I work at a movie theater, so I'll probably catch anything that looks interesting.

My watchlist so far is:
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
Lego Batman
Logan

shit i forgot that one. I'm surprised they didn't call it Guardians of the Galaxy 2 The Electric Boogaloo just to keep up with the 80's theme.

You know for POTC I'm surprised they didn't make it like a serial or Indianna Jones? Captain Jack goes on adventures in different lands to see new characters. They didn't need to make it into an "epic" trilogy.

I wish they'd cut back on the supernatural bullshit in Pirates and just have it be the small adventures of some dick ass pirates instead of PIRATES ARE SOME SECRET ORDER AND THEY RESTRAINED A GOD AND NOW THEY'RE FIGHTING A GOD

So like the Pirate movies of old then?

That would have been hilarious. They should have done it.

Just see it for yourself.

Everything has to be like [generic Disney's Marvel movie] now.

Brendan's comeback. His Bollywood movie The Field and his lead role in Behind the Curtain of the Night.

Tell me more, how where the movies?

Oh god, it's fucking real.

Just why
gonna be shit

...

and I am eagerly awaiting the shitstorms to be caused by:
and probably more

Its basically new Apocalypse now!

I have this app on my phone "movie hype" that keeps track of planned releases. I was just going to scroll through and post what I was following, but I kept scrolling, and I found myself getting angrier and angrier as I did, so instead of what I'm looking forward to, I'm going to post what pissed me off.

(There's more.)

...

I liked the first 3 Pirates movies, but the fourth was unwatchable. If Pirates 5 has Elizabeth Swann in it, I'll watch it. If not, it's a skip.

Why the fuck you have this shit on your phone?

He's serious about cinema.

m8, just how new are you? There will ALWAYS be James Bond in the cinemas, like it or not. The longest gap between Bond films was 6 years, from '89 to '95, and in the beginning with Sean Connery they were being churned out at a rate of 1 a year. Either Eon keeps it's franchise safe for eternity or other companies will snap it up and make a mockery out of the man.

Also the rest of your post seriously reeks of Reddit tryhardery, and I'm beginning to wonder whether or not you were being facetious at all.

I take it you're not aware Sony wanted to cast Idris Elba as James Bond?

Dunkirk maybe.
I'm just going to burn my ratio on PTP going through my backlog this year I guess.

again, you have to be older than 18 to shitpost here

dat naming system…
why?

I'd watch it regardless, manly because I like to support my favorite movie companies like Disney and Marvel :^)

It's not a conan remake. It's old conan wih arnold reprising his role

i'm not looking forward to anything this year. i'll see probably most of the shit posted in this thread, but nothing that's making me go HOLY FUCK I NEED THIS NOW.

hell op, i'll go by your post alone

looks like shit and is a confirmed soft reboot, the series didn't need a fourth film and it should have died after the third
this looks really boring honestly, nolan has fully exposed himself as a hack that made like 3-4 solid films, everything after batman begins was stupid and pointless
lmao fuck this looks awful, i don't even know why they're trying to make a cinematic universe out of godzilla and other big monsters, just continue the godzilla films and have crossovers, nothing more
this one i am actually genuinely interested in, the last two were surprisingly good
again, looks to be treading the soft reboot territory, but it also looks like ridley learned from his prometheus mistakes, so i'll be cautiously optimistic about it

blade runner will probably suck but i might like it because denis villeneuve, star wars will most likely be shit, and that's all i can remember or care tor remember right now

The great thing about shitty Disney Star Wars films is the pick up in Lucas posting around winter and spring.

it makes for good memes, that's for sure. i get to watch all the normalfags scream "IT'S THE GREATEST THING EVER YOU LITERALLY ARE HITLER IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE THIS FILM" while i just chuckle and pass the popcorn over the internet wars that rage on.

i'm hoping episode 8 spoilers start popping up soon, i didn't get to do enough with episode 7 info that i knew months before it came out.

I'm sure someone will shit on me for being a pleb or whatever but The Prestige was the only Nolan film I really enjoyed.

I just can't wait to see Disney pull the same "neo-nazis are boycotting our new movie for being too progressive" stunt again. They did it for both TFA and Rogue One. I'm honestly still holding out hope that Episode 8 will flop or at least under perform. I probably shouldn't hold my breath though since the masses will pay money for anything.

prestige had a lot of good going for it. just on repeat views, you realize how paper thin it is and that beyond bale, jackman and bowie, you don't care for it.

a star wars film flopping is a sign of the end times, user. under-performing is possible, but not likely. i'm not sure disney even thought the fart awakens would do as well as it did. as it stands, rogue one is $75mil from reaching the $1bn mark, and more than likely exceeded their expectations, but that really shouldn't be a surprise since the films have always done pretty well.

Well I only watched it once but I enjoyed it. Maybe a second viewing is in order to see what you are talking about.

a repeat viewing will have you go "oh wow how did i miss this absolutely fucking obvious clue" provided you didn't catch it on the first time.

People probably would have said the same thing about Trump winning. You add the two Disney Wars films and all their recent Marvel films and you blatant anti-white/globalist/marxist/whatever you want to call it propaganda. I just find it hard to believe that whites wont check out of seeing these movies.

Funny thing about the Godzilla cinematic universe, Toho already did that. After they did Godzilla Raids Again they did movies with other monsters like Rodan, Mothra and Varan. Granted it wasn't an MCU style cinematic universe but they were trying with other monster movies.

they did say that, user. it is the end of times, for liberals anyway.

also, star wars and the mcu are basically what you'd refer to as an "event" movie. not event in the vein of 2012 or the poseidon adventure or towering inferno, but event as in "oh man this film looks great we should all go see it summer blockbuster of the year 2kXX".

yeah, it worked though since there was a clear cut consistency with toho producing them. but beyond gojira and mechagodzilla i've never seen any of the other toho films.

I heard on some video that Spielberg and George Lucas both predicted that theatres would host event films and smaller films would just get streaming or something. Any truth to this?

I enjoyed the set up and actors enough that I just settled into my suspension of disbelief from what I remember. This was back when I actually still went to theaters so I was inclined to by having spent money anyway. I will give it another watch with a more critical eye.

i mean, they basically invented the event film and summer blockbuster, so it kinda makes sense.

...

I would have had hope for this if they didn't use a meme actor like ryan as the lead.

needless to say, I'm dismayed

it can't go on forever, something has to give. i'm curious about what that something, eventually, will be. i'd love for them to totally fuck up and have a catastrophic bomb on their hands (and soon), but it seems more likely that it will just dwindle out way, way down the line after they run out of nostalgia and the movies have moved too far away from 4-6 in plot and characters for anyone to care anymore.

Wow, what was the last new flick I enjoyed? I guess Green Room? Was fun watching the neo-nazi cucks get wrecked, & Stewart is always good.
When was the last time you enjoyed a big budget hollywood flick? I can't even remember.

While in pre-production it was being called Saw vs. Tron, so maybe that's where it came from.

A Cure for Wellness, John Wick: Chapter 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Dunkirk all look pretty good to me. Kong: Skull Island and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales seem okay too but I liked them more when I was a kid and am a little wishy-washy about them now. Not too sure about Alien: Covenant though, especially after watching Prometheus. Blade Runner doesn't look bad but I'll have to watch the original one first to enjoy it properly.

War

I'm not sure how to feel about a sequel to Blade Runner since the story is self contained. But the director for the sequel has done a lot of good work so I can try I guess.

best flick this year is gonna be reality nigger, go outside

you lost hillary, go home, youre drunk

My thoughts on that, as well. I've only seen Sicario by him but it was fucking great and almost everything else by him looks good too so if anything, this movie will be in his own style rather than a half-assed nostalgic attempt and (hopefully) won't just be another boring reboot.

Politics is too gay for me

this is true, but kike iger said he'll have a new one every year if it's what people want.

basically, he's gonna CODify the shit out of sw movies until people legitimately get sick of them.

checking both, but in regards to blade runner, i really hope it doesn't suck. it's gonna be odd if they make deckard an old human, since the first film implies so much that he's a replicant himself. even though it isn't true to the book or anything, it's still the established film story, and villeneuve has to follow it.

your using the word wrong drumpfposter
you are the real cuck

there is no politics, only capital + violence

I actually enjoyed the first Saw. Yeah, it's pretty simple overall, trendy for the time it was made in, was cheaply produced and has a lot of things wrong with the plot/dialogue/realistic elements in it, but as a psychological thriller, it works pretty well. If it had a larger budget, more time for shooting, some reworked dialogue and was at least half an hour longer, it could have been great. I've never watched any of the sequels in their entirety, though. The parts of the second one that I saw on TV didn't seem too bad to me, but the third and onward are just glorified torture porn flicks with people I couldn't care less about getting ripped to pieces to distract you from how paper thin they really are. For some reason, even though the seventh one is subtitled The Final Chapter, I had some feeling when it first came out that it wouldn't actually be the last one. Looks like I was unfortunately right.
