Guys, no. Venture Bros is still pretty fantastic. The whole femdom thing for Brock isn't all that hilarious, but it works pretty well. Every once in a while a film like Sicario (2015) slips under the propaganda radar.

The film appears to be, and was sold to the audience as, a standard feminist female action hero film.

When this film came out the PR campaign was all about how the Evil Patriarchy had tried to change the lead character to a man to make more money.

The mainstream PC narrative was, of course, aghast at the very idea of switching the lead character's gender to male — but they didn't even know the plot, and their childishly simplistic female=good, male=bad thinking ended up hoisting them by their own petards. Because it's actually a crypto-anti-feminist film — whether they intended it to be or not.

When you watch it you find out … the leading lady action hero is actually an in-over-her-head-rookie type character who was lead into a warzone under false pretenses. She's not there because she's a super-capable Action Girl but because she's simply being used by higher ups as a cover for semi-illegal secret missions. She's always playing catchup to the men running this mission — in terms of information and ability. She is regularly protected by stronger, smarter and more violent men and by the end of the film, she's like a child who lost her innocence in a world she clearly was not suited for — and you're left thinking she will probably quit that job, become a waitress, find a man and have his babies.

So it's actually a realistic, anti-feminist portrayal of a woman in a man's world of war and violence.

The mainstream PC / SJW's just assumed they wanted a woman in the leading role, but it did not occur to them that men sometimes make movies that portray their lead characters in a less-than flattering light.

An easy mistake when you're a SJW projecting your intention that every female character ought to be a Mary Sue.

So the end result is that the story plays out like feminist cautionary tale. Emily Blunt is the Feminist Icarus, but instead of flying too high, she flew too low — too close to the dark and cavernous depths of untamed male lust, violence and power — and so she crashed and burned. And with broken wings, she'll never be able to soar back to the bright and airy skies of Feminine Neverland.

And it's a pleasant coincidence that the real-life narrative also a feminist cautionary tale analogous to the film's plot. Also, it's just a high-quality, well-written, well-made film in general.
