My 9th grade history teacher explained Capitalism/Socialism/Communism as a zoo, where the Capitalist system is a pack of lions with no walls, Socialism is are lions left to themselves behind walls, and Communism is training the lions. He openly declared that he liked Socialism. He also had us watch some horrifically bias CNN morning news show. Blamed Nationalism for WW1 and WW2

10th grade had the same drivel shoved on us, but with more LGBT stuff thrown in. We had to read some Holocaust books and paint a ceramic tile with Holocaust remembrance messages on it. I drew a huge Swastika with jewish hands fleeing from it.

11th grade had a liberal, but more balanced history class. English class had a Book about the generations of a family living in Chile, which described Allende as some hero of the people, while Pinochet was nothing more than a Nazi controlled by the CIA. There was also a book about a Nigerian woman (the book was called Purple Hibiscus or something), whose father was evil and Catholicism (as preached by a white man) is boring. She ended up loving this young black Anglican preacher, and the wife poisons the father.

12th grade was something else. English was full on Marxist, literally using the "Marxist Perspective" as a means of analyzing a work of literature. We read a book about a White woman living in South Africa during apartheid. The author at one point preached that whites in SA should kill themselves for all the injustice they do to the blacks. The other book that stood out was a novel (Handmaidens or something) which had a tons of feminist jargon and horribly thought out plot holes. I was fortunate enough that History was about the Cold-War and bashed the communists for their shit behavior.
