As someone who's actually done some research on this shit, I can say that there was a good post on the topic in the previous thread: most goons are social rejects and broken people. The forums themselves are administered by a barely functional foot-fetishist and drug-addict and basic features don't work - and the people who post there aren't much better. Their lives are fucking miserable (for them at least, go look at the SS doxx/troon threads if you want to laugh) and they have massive portions of their self-worth tied up in their posting careers. Much like how there are plenty of jews that just get by in goyim society as regular (obnoxious, clannish, nepotistic, untrustable, ugly, lazy and indolent) people, plenty of goons are just fat losers with seriously messed up lives. Tons of them turn into trannies, almost all of them are feminists and they generally take the establishment view on just about every subject that comes up. The whole community they create is like any other, and plenty of useful idiots go along with the crowd in an attempt to get popular/build up a reputation. Most of the losers you see on twitter or shitposting on here fall into that category.

On the other hand, I have no doubt that plenty of them actually had some real influence/power in the real world, and they most definitely used SA for networking - there are people who got jobs by virtue of their SA accounts, and people like Chelsea Valkenburg made plenty of useful connections there too. However, I don't think they're really that deeply connected with the government/deep state.
